I know Capcom stopped using this engine because it's "outdated", but for me the aesthetic/style/flow is so iconic!! This is absolutely incredible, props to the creators!

No one is telling current developers that they can't make games in this style. They find their target group easily and games of this type are already very easy to develop with today's technologies. It even has the benefits of implementing modern elements and it can be easily published even on mobile. Asset production is also very simple. This is done in Unity and looks exactly the same as it did back then :)

If Capcom made a game like this now, i think a lot of people wouldnt like it unless they were already fans of this type of game.

Love this. I don't know what it is about those old pre-rendered backgrounds & locations, but they just made everything feel healthier & more fresh; as in life too. Could be a pre-internet world thing. Nostalgia in the soundtrack. ... This is really comfy despite the horror. Brilliantly realised "Demake" I'd happily pay for. 😊

Me too ! I still want to play the old original PS1 Resident Evil games, if only I could find a cheatcode to have two-players or more like in this video. In RE4, I use cheatcode of "Ashley-always-present" so I don't go on alone.
