2 hrs 12 min. Thanks man. For anyone doing this now on PS5, I recommend switching from the game to the KZbin app on your playstation. Opening YT suspends the timer in the game, but putting the PS5 in rest mode doesn't!

YAYYY I GOT 4 TROPHIES FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE! My time was 02:17:15 I did pause a lot butttt with a strategy.. that opening youtube thing REALLY DID STOP THE TIME LOL or else I've been playing for like 10 hours. Doig house chores in between everytime i wanted to pause i went through the door and open youtube thats it, the timer does really stop following this trick!!! I died in beginning like 5 to 6 times by zombies and dogs lol because you can't get through the game without learning to shake off enemy from you, so my first couple tries i was learning how to get hang of it using alternate controls it was very simple just go crazy with both analog sticks and jill wont let the enemy latch onto her and drain her health! I didnt even used the stairs trick you doing because i cant figure it out how to do with alternate controls However im so so grateful and thankful to you for this amazingggggggggg guide!! I got infinite rocket launcher too! Im full on ready now to destroy the game!!!🎉

Fantastic guide, man. I really appreciate the verbal tips towards the beginning, and you allow the player over an hour to save their game plenty of times. Here's what I don't get though...I ended up saving 19 times whenever Jill was near a save room/typewriter (being only my 2nd playthrough and unsure of my abilities to dodge)....My clear time was 2:52...Saving a game doesn't take an entire 3 minutes, and aside from doing the stairs trick, I went literally just as fast as you did. I never paused, or went to the ps4 dashboard. I'd quit to main menu the moment I saved, and would just load and go from there. Just weird that it took me so long. Thanks for posting this though. It got me a few trophies.

Well, I did the run without saving to save time, though I did get whacked by those two hunters in the stairs where you did the first save. 2nd time I grabbed the GL and took out the one coming from above :-). 5 trophies unlocked, sweet! :-)

I just got 2:10:13, thx so much for the guide. Those hunters really screwed with me at 56:59, i tried doing what you did but the damn thing followed me up the stairs from behind and I ended up sandwiched between the two. Luckly the spray I had gave me enough health to squeeze past them. If I had known in advance that you weren't gonna use the remaining shells in the launcher, I would've blasted their assess.

Unfortunately, I do not have a video for that trophy. I can however, give you some tips for it. Play as Chris, as he has more health than Jill. Since you have the speedrun now complete, take your time and avoid enemies the best you can. Most of all enemies in the old RE games can be avoided (bosses being an obvious exception). Play on Easy difficulty (no need to make it harder than it is). Lastly, save often, because you'll eventually end up dying at least once.

You probably know this...but if you don't, this version is actually the closest to the creators original dream of the 1st RE game. He was able to add the cemetery sections and many other things that he couldn't on the ps1 version.

Yes, I did actually know that bit of trivia. While I really enjoy REmake and believe it's one of the best video game remakes ever, I still prefer the original. Maybe it's nostalgia speaking, but the original RE1 just hits different for me.

You can combine this with the all items and rooms trophy if you make a duplicate save just before you go up in the elevator to find Wesker! Then when you have got the under 3 hours trophy reload save and go back to mansion to get all items

I really want someone to make a version of this with multiple save stops because I have a newborn and can really only play for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. Being able to take a break and take care of my kid would be nice. F So when I first tried this speedrun, I died in the same place. That's the reason I stopped and saved my game right before hand in this video, because I wasn't going to die so far into the game again lol. If you had a good run going and saved your game, maybe not all is lost and you won't have to restart like I did.

Hold down Square while walking if you're on PS4 (or X if you're on Xbox) to run, and tap it rapidly to do glide up and down stairs.

Save up some daggers and use them for when you encounter them. The dogs at that point are a huge pain, and sometimes you just have to be lucky. Hope you make it past them.

Quick tip. If your eating in real life while doing this. Pausing the games doesnt stop the timer. So waste a ink ribbon saving and go ti the title screen so the timer doesnt continue. If your busy

You can save as much as you want for the infinite ammo rocket launcher as long as you complete the game in under 3 hours. Getting it will make the no save run a piece of cake.

If you need a map, it wouldn't hurt to draw yourself one (or print one). By the time I got around to doing this speedrun, I was intimately familiar with the layout of the game's map, so in my own notes, I just described what room/area I needed to go to next. Maybe do a practice playthrough to familiarize yourself before attempting the speedrun if you get lost.
