I gotta say I really love the clear effort put into this mod, before finding this video I had no idea RE2 has a modding community! And it feels really good for what it is, an issue I had with a lot of the early Resident evil games was trying to picture people actually living in these places, but the way this motel, bar and gas station are portrayed look straight out of US locales/cheap apartments I saw in the 90's, and the zombie designs are fantastic. I especially like that one zombie you encounter in the underground and how skeletal/decayed it is, implying the infection had already been going on a while or that the corpse had been down there for some time and the virus brought even something that rotten back from death. I would love to see a full playthrough of this when the mod is finally ready. Everything I've seen so far looks so right. Also I'm so glad I found this channel, I was missing out on some RE gold and I gotta thank both the mod makers and you, Kendozone for making this awesome content, it won't mean much. But you've got a new subscriber today and I look forward to what new things you come up with, and seeing past videos in my spare time

The cinematic in this mod is amazing. It really combines the elements of 90s survivor horror and bridge it together into one coherent storyline where it acts as side story to the main story's prelude. The beginning of the game also reminds me abit for flash game The Last Stand: Union City. Of course Kendozone played it the best and with the best edit always. 😺

I’ve never played the parasite Eve series, but I do love this RE take using some of their properties to make this mod. I really like the music. I can tell some of the tracks are remade versions from RE2. The one theme maybe a remake melody of the RPD library theme. The zombie battle theme sounds like if it were in legacy of kain.

Man, even after so many years the original and this mod have a really tense atmosphere, i remember as a kid in the 2000s turning the PS on and playing it with a friend, still amazing

This was a work of mastery for sure. The first few rooms not having zombies in them until after the first encounter was an excellent choice. It built a ton of atmosphere and tension. Can't wait to see what the rest of this will look like!

The chest sealed by a mysterious force is a nice lil chrono trigger ref I think. This is really cool I love how they envisioned the city and environments in general very detailed. Amazing how quickly people have pieced together a lore way beyond what was originally offered.

This is why I love true fans of the old Resident Evil games! This looks great! You wouldn't even think it was fan-made. It sucks that these are only available on PC since I don't like PC gaming. I hope one day to play them on a console on an emulator lol but I enjoyed the gameplay. This makes me want to maybe learn how to make these mods since I'm a huge fan of the old Resident Evil games.
