Thanks Tom , I was looking for something for my Gravel Driveway in Hancock, NY., Snow Blowing is the way to Go!
@hellboundfabrication12 жыл бұрын
Robert, the issue you cant see with this driveway is that there are retaining walls to the left and back of the driveway with bushes on the right side. (Upper part of driveway) So thats why the snowblower works so well because it can physically place it somewhere else. Both a plow and snowblower have there pros and cons.

I LOVE IT!!! Where do I buy one? As a man who has been plowing for several decades I can tell ya this is the way to go. I have a 2010 F 350 4x4 with a 9.6 arctic V blade on it & an 8' stainless steel electric Arctic sander in the back. What I would like to see is if the power unit in the box could be reconfigured to sit next to the sander as the sander takes up the entire depth of the box but on either side near the cab I have an area 36"Long x 24" Wide x 16" Deep space to work with. I really do need one of these as you do not need to have storage areas for the snow piles that accumulate in winter especially in urban areas where space is a premium. Once again I absolutely LOVE IT!

Absolutely fantastic! Would I be correct in saying that there is (MUCH LESS) abuse on the truck? I am curious to know the size of the impeller.

I would think a regular plow set up would be quicker to operate and less expensive. But all I own for snow removal is a shovel so...
@s.pursell89014 жыл бұрын
Plowing may be quicker but if you live somewhere that get many snowfalls. You eventually run out of room to put the snow. Especially if you don't plow back. Kinda like when you shovel 3 feet of snow and just pile it up right next to you. Then a week later you get another three feet of snow and the previous snow hasn't even started to melt. Where you gonna put it? Everything has its place. This setup seems a little pricey for my wallet.

The diameter of the chute is too small for the width of the auger box causing the backup of snow within the auger box. That is why your waiting at the stops so you have time to clear the excess left in the auger box.
@SnowingNapalm2 жыл бұрын
actually it's why it can throw further as it has a steady income of snow as long as it has enough horsepower to push the high speed impeller the auger that feeds it simply guides it in to save time over area

With this confugration, same as with an ATV, it seems to be very unagile, struggling to navigate around corners and obstacles..they should make the blower able to tilt left to right at least. Had an even better idea, how about making an ATV or Razor with rear steering..or even cooler, a one of mini tube-chassie rock-bouncer-style vehicle with front and back steering..how freckin awesome would that be 🤩🤩

I like to get a little bit of information about this I have property up in Maine and Vermont I have two side by sides and I have two old trucks one at each place maybe I could do one of these snow blowers on each one of the trucks like to know what sizes they come please comment back

I'm sure buy now you already have a solution but I highly recommend getting a Bercomac snowblower for your side by side. I've owned mine now for three years and it's unstoppable. Bercomac is out of Canada so alow time for shipping.

Kind of makes you realize that if you had to live with one or the other, the snow blower could do the job of both a plow and a blower, whereas a plow is limited to where you can push it, the blower can put it where plows cant. Almost makes me want to ditch my plow and get a blower, I only do driveways.

faster does not mean quicker, you may drive back and forth faster ,but as far an moving snow, the blower is 4 times the machine as any plow. I moves the entire width of the blower in a single pass. No backing up an back dragging this driveway 20 times or PACKING down the snow cause you had to drive over it an compacted it. In a driveway like this with a plow you have zero room to push any snow, its all back drag. Then when you do make a spot to turn around it take some many more passed to push the snow to the sides of the drive way. If you live an an area that gets the snow I do (last winter was over 17ft) the sides of your drive way become so high you cannot plow them u must blow them, If you start with a blower its never an issue.
@wlehtola6 жыл бұрын
Ya but is it more efficient or effective? Debatable to me. Each have their place. This definitely is one for a blower.
@koreymartinson72385 жыл бұрын
A plow is good in lite snow. Here in ND it only works so long and you run out of room to push the snow. A blower gets it out of the way.
