This class will discuss various aspects of residential leases, such as:
•Mitigating Disputes: Critical Clauses for Landlord - Tenant Harmony, by exploring essential lease provisions that address common areas of contention, including rent increases, security deposits, repairs, and lease violations.
• California-Specific Disclosures and Addendums - Such as mandatory disclosures and recommended addendums unique to California
• Navigating Fair Housing Laws and Tenant Rights - Understand how to craft lease terms that comply with federal and California fair housing laws while protecting landlord interests.
• Emerging Trends: Renter’s Insurance and Property Inspection Clauses - Discover why including provisions for renter’s insurance and annual property inspections can benefit both landlords and tenants.
About the Speaker:
Stephanie S. Germani, Esq., LL.M., was educated at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and the University of San Diego School of Law where she received her Master of Law degree in Business and Corporate Law. Stephanie has volunteered with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Small Claims Clinic, and the University of San Diego School of Law’s Name Change and Gender Marker Clinic.
