People living in an apartment building in Brooklyn are demanding action after they say a homeless man has been sleeping in their hallway for two years. They say they've called the police, but the man always ends up coming back. FOX 5 NY's Michelle Ross has the story.

You're putting a band-aid on a cancer tumor. you take this guy out; guess what. he can come right back inside without fear of persecution. Because the NYC DA has more pertinent issues than a mentally unstable trespasser when it comes to jail time. The laxness on crimes such as these allows for small misdemeanors to go un-noticed and un-persecuted. Why? Probably because NYC has bigger problems and jails can only house so many people. Go ahead and call the cops and remove him. He can come right back. Over and over and over instead of being detained and sentenced to jail time for a more permanent solution. you see what im getting at here? If the politics werent in the way, he wouldn't be there to begin with. @@blackcherry6877

Well the man is homeless and we all as adults have urges and bodily appetites. Where is he to go if he needs relief? Only males will understand that when you haven’t had sexual relief in a very long time that area becomes very sensitive and full of pressure. It’s not a good feeling. The only way to get rid of it is to have sex or masturbate. That’s probably the predicament he was in.

I can't tell you how many times men have flashed me or even pulled up to me in their cars just to flash their bean bags.. at this point- especially when I'm working nights,I carry a can of wasp spray. - it goes further than pepper spray or mace and it packs quite a punch they won't forget!! I can't even tell you how many times this has happened to me over the years but it's happened so much - I've lost count!! Sickies!!

@@BobDeGuerre yeah I used to work in Faneuil Hall back in the 80s and I had to take the Haymarket train every night - I usually caught the last one of the night because I was working at a restaurant .. -without fail every night there was a one guy that was always on the other side of the trains who would stand there with a newspaper in front of him with this thing hanging out. I got so used to him I should have pounded his head in when I had the chance but I was too afraid beccause i was only 17yo. -then one day I saw some young girls on my side and he got right in front of them from the other side doing his thing and I started screaming at him!! - he took off running.. that was just one I would get on the train to go home-then when I would get off the train at Oak Grove there was even more to deal with!! The thing is that now that I think of it it's been so long even back then there was tons and tons of freaks and very dangerous if you ask me I mean I'm sure most of these people came from families with Children of Their Own I think testosterone is a very understudied hormones because it seems that a lot of crazy activity starts with testosterone

After living in an apartment complex that had a gate for the tenants, part of the issue is probably people propping the door open or not locking it so that people who don't live there can get in and out. It seems to be an expected rule that's not followed in a lot of places and can cause a lot of issues. If the door stayed locked, it would be harder for anyone who doesn't live there to get in including the man they want out.

Im surprised purple isn't black and blue. He is dangerous because you don't know when he is going to attack someone. The building management is liable and the tenants need to come together and make their life a living nightmare. Hpd staff would be svared to come to work. Im tired of rude staff not giving a crap about people and they wouldn't be where they are without them. Nobody owes you nothing but you owe the tenants safety and a sanitary cleanly building.

Yes; in my apartment building they decided to take the lock off permanently. Because; people in the building constantly break the lock. Or break the door to get in; usually to visit people or stay with people for what I assume is drug related. The landlord has decided he doesn’t want to put an industrial lock on and it’s not good. Anyone can come in, follow you home; or the packages left can be and have been stolen as well

If they wanna get high and be homeless then they need to go on somewhere!! I have no sympathy for the ones who don’t wanna work, and just get high.

Broken locks be damned. The onus for this happening is on the men who live in that building who let it go on for so long.

I don't get this? Are the tenants going to the meetings complaining? Because I have made complaints differentt places in Brooklyn NY housing and things have been cleaned up and stopped! Even this story isn't making sense! He can be removed permanently!

One of girlfriend had one homeless guy try to SA her in her building in Manhattan. Apparently the homeless was doing the same thing. She left the building after that incident. I felt so bad! She’s a very pretty girl too. She was just going to work that morning. The city needs to do something real bad. Then they tell you homeless isn’t a crime. There are categories of homelessness. You’ll have the drug addicts homeless those are the one that they can’t function well because they’re drug addicts. Veteran with mental issues. They need all the help because of PTSD Homeless families where they need help housing and resources with free training due to job lost and etc
