Letting go of history and always starting over and “afresh” with people, like this lady describes, is not healthy and in fact is very ungrounded. It’s certainly not a buddhist idea, if that’s what’s she’s trying to say. Ideally, one shouldn’t be emotionally triggered by what happened in the past, nor keep it as part of one’s intrinsic identity, but releasing all connections to the past just like that is not just bs, but a dangerous idea that opens up the doors to all kinds of unhealthy dynamics and influences.
