Resilience

This video is a collaboration between Longwood Gardens and Gardens by the Bay in Singapore to connect our audiences and to share the challenges faced by our Gardens during COVID-19. We hope to highlight not only the challenges, but the resilience of our gardens, and most importantly, the restorative power of beauty to the human spirit.
Longwood Gardens is the living legacy of Pierre S. du Pont, inspiring people through excellence in garden design, horticulture, education, and the arts. Located 30 miles outside of Philadelphia in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, we are one of the world’s great gardens, encompassing 1,077 acres of dazzling gardens, woodlands, meadows, fountains, 10,010-pipe Aeolian organ and 4.5-acre conservatory.

Longwood Gardens has not only been a place of beauty for me but also a refuge from all that is going on in our turbulent world today. I wish I lived closer to the gardens so I could volunteer my services. I highly suggest to others to donate either their time or money to keep this beautiful garden up and running for future generations. Thank you to the amazing staff of people for doing such an incredible job in keeping the gardens going. You are all greatly appreciated.
