I love this piece, Clara! What did you paint on? Is that a wood block with yupo paper on top? Or a canvas? I would never have thought to do resin over alcohol inks. you are so creative!
@ClaraLawrence2 жыл бұрын
It is a pre gessoed board. They work great for alcohol inks.

I’m so sorry I missed this demo in person, but you’re right, by day 4 it’s a bit of a zombie land. So much information is being shared in these classes.

Thanks Clara, love the details. I’m still working on resin timing. I either apply to soon or loose track of time and it’s to set. One pour at a time, I’m learning though. Watching you, ATD and RK3.

Nice work! Love the colors! I have a question. When the alcohol inks are dry and you put a coat resin on it and its fully dry can you put a second layer alcohol ink on top of it? I search on the internet but i never saw it anywhere. Gr liz.
@ClaraLawrence Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. Yes, you can layer the alcohol ink then resin and alcohol ink as often as you like. Then the only thing you will have to concern yourself with is the layers making sense with your composition and the technique for multiple layers. The only limit is your imagination and art supplies.
@lisannelups9236 Жыл бұрын
@@ClaraLawrence thanks for replying!😁 i think it will be more 3d with more layers. And yes you are right about the composition. Its all needs to be in balance. Thanks again.

Can you do alcohol ink over cured resin?

yes

Yes! And it looks amazing. Then do another coat of resin over that. SOOOO much depth.

How do you prep your board for this technique
@ClaraLawrence2 жыл бұрын
This happened to be a pre gessoed board. If you are doing countertops, then prime and paint as usual. Sand in between the layers and go. Or a thin coat of resin and go over that.
