I dunk my sticks in resin and let the resin dry on the sticks, they’re sealed them though I agree re the silicone stirrers but the sticks are much cheaper. ❤️
@naptimecreations9 ай бұрын
I do that too with the stir sticks I use for Pigments it's a great way to reduce waste and $$$ as well. Thanks for watching ❤️

Just for information: if you use a different brand than Tish, please check if the resin is measured by weight or volume. Even if it is a 1:1 ratio it can make a difference. Oh and a question: what temperature has your resin after 25 minutes? I'm using a different brand (because it's easier to get here) and didn't get an good result with 25 minutes. ooh,and the structure is really cool! is it because of the pigment?

I've never seen a 1 to 1 ratio say to be measured by weight only volume and I've tried over 20 brands. They all say by volume. I'm not sure what the temperature is. I just mixed let it sit for 25 minute. This resin has a 45 minute working time. The texture is from the chameleon Pigment it gives a really cool crackle effect. It's galaxy Pigment from LET'S RESIN. @@naptimecreations im using a brand with this measurement. the hardener also is thinner and the bottle isn't filled up to the top. It's always good to read the instructions first 😊 That's for the link and the discount code! I'll get that pigments! 🤗

and never mix resin when tired. I accidentally mixed up epoxy resin and silicone hardener (for clear silicone). it ended up in a mess 😅😅🤣

How long do you wait before you start making your petals? Do you do that directly after you put the color in or do you wait a few moments?
@sylviahtsyl23155 ай бұрын
So when do I use 2:1 ratio and when 1:1 ratio? 2:1 is for deep pours?
@naptimecreations5 ай бұрын
2 to 1 is for deep pours over 1/4 inch deep

would you recommend this resin to coat a tumbler

No, I would use their tabletop epoxy for that. Discount code NAPTIME letsresin.com/products/epoxy-resin-1-gallon-kit?_pos=2&_sid=64a90e713&_ss=r

I am having the most terrible results with resin. I have dips , air bubbles, and yes I'm level. I have ruined so many pictures trying to resin. My room is warm also. If you could give me some pointers on this it would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Pam R

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. What are you making? The resin you use makes a huge difference. Each brand behaves differently. If you are coating paintings. Check out this tutorial I made a while back. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ap3dYayHf72dmbcsi=qaJSAU-G0Uo42oXj I don't always see comments on here but you can message me on my Facebook art page @ Art By Tish and I'd be happy to help.
