Poseidon is such an underrated movie! I love this moddel although the bow of the ship can be a bit longer (or sharper). Poseidon was based on the Queen Marry 2 so I really hope more models of the Poseidon in the future with an even better looking hull

Is based on Queen Victoria. A small sister of Queen Mary 2. The original poseidon on the original movie was based on Queen Mary 1.

@@laislabella the interior is based off of QM2 the exterior doesn't resemblance much of QM2 although it has some similar thing like the paint scheme and the funnel placement though my research the move team used a mix of multiple ships (and in the case of the bridge area made their own) for the exterior and based the interior on QM2

This was amazing! The Poseidon is one of my favorite ships, and you made the scene so well. I think the new resin technique worked impressively well, especially since it's your first time using it. 😢As always , very nice work..👍 Something that's absolutely amazing about some of the comments i read.. There's always someone wanting to point out this or that or you should've done this or i would've done that... And it's usually coming from someone who's never built a simple model kit , let alone try something like this.. And they don't understand or realize how much work and time goes into the whole process.. I've haven't worked with these materials before , way out of my price range.. But I've seen a few projects as they went through the whole process and it's absolutely amazing... Nothing like just watching a few videos.. I myself appreciate you sharing your videos with us... Speaking of the Poseidon liner (2006). The longest hull of this liner is taken from another Queen Mary 2 liner, and the scriptwriters themselves came up with the upper superstructure. But the ship looks great, I fell in love with it at first sight.

I just made up my own legend of the MS Poseidon. Legend has it, the Poseidon wasn’t really sunk by any Rogue Wave, sailors and people say it was actually Poseidon himself, he got terribly angry because of the ship named after him, and he started to think that the MS Poseidon will become the Ruler of the Sea, in his anger, he created his own Rogue Wave to sink her down for good, so that he will remain as Ruler of the Sea.

Impressive as always. The MS Poseidon had a tricky story in Paul Gallico's movie, where the only real thing was the giant wave (these are called rogue or errant waves by some people) which can occur mostly by submarine earthquakes. I saw that 2006 movie, which was the only one I couldn't recover, the wave caused a chain of events where all the passengers and crew died, except for a tiny group of survivors. The most shocking death in Poseidon (2006): Kurt Russell's character. Very creepy way of leaving this world.😳

A submarine earthquake would actually cause a tsunami, not a rogue wave. Rogue waves are caused by constructive interference, which occurs at the surface
