+ron doobz Yeah, looking at early 360 games to Halo 4 is pretty insane as well. Loved this game though, would love to replay Resistance 1 and 2 (and play the 3rd for the first time, never got around to it), but I don't have my PS3 anymore. Would love a Resistance remastered collection or something like that on PS4, would pick that up in a heartbeat.

Decided to rent this on gamefly and thought I'd get a preview of it before I play it and get into Resistance 2 and 3. Sooooo far it looks like Fallout meets Call of Duty World at War, meets Gears of War. Pretty cool so far. Can't wait to play it, beat it, and give it back to get the next one.

bullshot is awsome for a large amount of enemies that are up close but the human assult rifle is the better all around weapon

This little things you use to move on the controller are call Analog Sticks. You can press them down (L3 and R3).

I just got into the latest console generation(I played a ton of Ps1 and a little Ps2) so these graphics actually look really good to me. Plus it was only 3 dollars so this will be a good place to start and then work my way through the series.

@staindjason1 This was the first game to come out on the PS3, so that means the developers were working with new software for the very first time. Epic games had already developed an optimal engine for the Xbox, because the Xbox had been out for over a year already. Think before you comment. The first games to come out for the Xbox didn't look nearly as good as the ones that are coming out now either.

Well I know one way is to get a capture card but that's extra hardware. You may be able to get an actual program onto your PS3 as well.

Okay some of you arent getting it, these are NOT aliens, they are more like zombies, what would happen is the the kimera kill humans, then take them to this factory thingy, and transform them, these things are like super human and Nathen Hail (aka sergeant Hail) broke out during his transformation so hes half kimera half human

damn i loved that game. it was so fun with all the weapons and different types of enemies. it was thrilling driving stalkers and even more fun fighting them. i dont have a ps3 and i just beat the game several times at my friends house. and even after all these years i remember most of it like it was yesterday. thats how awesome this game is.

exceptional detail at 12:15 and at 13:25 this game has a storyline simmilar to Area51 (humans vs aliens and the hero gets infected but doesnt die) sometimes id like 2 have a console :( cause this game isnt on pc :((

I think they wanted to make it similar graphics so that it doesn't change or stray away too much from it's original gameplay physics and feel of. Resistance 2 does have better graphics than the first one, but it's not that much of a difference, and I think it's because they use a similar graphics engine. Plus, I don't think that you can tell the differences between Resistance 1 and Resistance 2 when its on the computer. Watch Resistance 2 on an HDTV. You'll probably be amazed. :)

@jagdiggarstoratuttar Well, it was one of the two first games released for the ps3, so they most likely just tried to make a great game, which they did. For example, you can play up to 40 players online, which is still a shitload of players.

they are aliens. in resistance retribution the Chrysallis(chimera king or something) said that they are infinite from their planet and they will not stop. those lines give me the chills =/

I've played a lot of campaigns for shooting games. I must say that none of them were as gripping or as fun as Resistace 1 and 2. For those who want a really good story and gameplay, go get Resistance Fall of Man. For those who want good gameplay, story, and graphics, get Resistance 2. :) Just try the full game. Whatever you do, don't try the demo. They put you in a really hard level, its crazy. Play it from the beginning.

I know, it sucks But i prefer RFOM than R2. R2 is more about MP. Also, it seems that R2 was missing the Atmosphere that RFOM had that made the Resistance's background very intresting. R2 is more like: You have # of hours b4 you die/ We got to detonate the charge on the ship/This is just the beginning. I miss the narrator too :( Anywho! But i think what really disappointed me was the fact that R2's campaign is player only. Though the CO-op is MP only, it's fun but inferior to RFOM's

haha! i read the description and i didnt have to sleep outside for three days or buy a PS3 for 2000-3000$ on ebay. i just went in the store on the 3rd day of release and bought me a brand new new PS3 60gb for 500 bucks.
