My dear Mother was a devoted to Holy Face of Jesus. She belonged to an organization in our parish church. She was always active and very pious with her prayers. I remember her waking up early dawn to start her prayers. Before she passed away, She said to me, there should be someone to pray for our whole family. And now, I found myself taking that position for the sake of my family. I’m trying with my whole heart and I’m happy to do it.

Thank you Steve for this talk on the Holy Face devotion, which is MUCH needed for our current times. I was gifted an authentic Vera Effigie from my spiritual director 20 years ago this month and it has been the very center of my spiritual life ever since. I was actually gifted 2 of them with their authentic certificates, however I gifted one to a Poor Clare Monastery in Lemont, IL (I live in Chicago). This group of very holy Sisters were elated to receive it! Thank you for continuing to find opportunities to openly discuss this devotion. Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. The Catholic Church has existed since Jesus Christ established it while on Earth. It’s visible Head on Earth is with the Pope beginning with Peter. The Catholic Church will last until the end of time. It has outlived nations and dynasties. That, in of itself is a miracle. Every Saint canonized must have two proven medical miracles before the Church will canonize. Miracles happen all the time!!!

Jesus said: *"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"* (Mark 16:17-18). There we also read: *"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following"* (Mark 16:19-20). I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".* that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus. For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles. As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8). *“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12). *"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8). Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities? In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world. Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12). But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did? The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus. As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22). God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again. The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). "Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1). The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

Why is the catholic donation money used to maintain idols under the guise of the museum, why doesn't the Vatican leave the honorable display of pagan gods to secular museums?

@@user-di8vz5ec1i Please don't confuse with Phil 2:10,as it clearly says knees should (not must or may). Firstly devils don't have knees, secondly even devils were also created by God, hence creatures of God. Not all creatures of God are going to accept God. This is prayer is based on certain questionable Jewish teachings that doesn't believe that hell is eternity and believe that even satan will reform in the end. Most importantly, Jesus would not teach ambiguous prayer after giving us the perfect prayer Pater Noster. Also, it doesn't match with Jesus' straightforward and matter of fact style of speaking in the Bible. How can an arrow soothe His heart (or anyone's heart for that matter), it sounds more like the pagan version of cupid's arrow? There is no mention of Golden Arrow in the prayer, yet it is titled Golden Arrow based on a feel-good story from a nun.
