R1 - Great plot, pretty much 90% of everything you need to know about Chimera. R2 - Great graphics, awesome action packed gameplay. R3 - gives a true meaning of resistance, but the plot was mostly about good/bad people and the protagonist carrying way more for his family instead of saving the world. Hale imo was a better character than Capelli only because he kept fighting while Capelli wanted to forget the war in R3. I still respect him when he told that Hale was a hero and he's the villain.

Capelli was a conflicted father torn between saving the world and protecting the ones he loved. Being conflicted of one’s duties is what being a man is truly about. Having that struggle and still persevering, showed Capelli’s character and strength as a man.

R1 only let you know what you "Need" to know. But to see how vast this universe is you need to search for intels in R2 and have to read novel as well. Eg. I bet 90% of Resitance players have never known about Daedalus used to bring a Chimeran troops just to save his human wife who was hostaged by US goverment during a negotiation plan with Chimera in sparing the US but the rest of the world.

@@supercj12 I disagree. The Fall Of Man had the best feel to it, the best atmosphere. Had a World War II feel to it. Resistance 2 copped out and became a generic , blood n' guts, horror FPS with more of an emphasis on multiplayer, sacrificing the story aspect that made the first game good and somewhat unique (something of a problem with most game franchises in those days). Resistance 3 was a step back to what made the first game good, with emphasis on a good story. The PSP installment was fun, letting us see what was up with Parker and Cartwright after the events of the first game, and the situation on the Continent during the Chimera war.

This franchise has such potential. I dream for a Naughty Dog reboot. Insomniac Games created an interesting universe, but lacked the drive to make it great. Resistance 3 was a step in the right direction. The post-apocalypse tone was executed perfectly, but I feel the development was rushed in the 3rd act.

Capelli was so much more dynamic of a character than Hale. Hale was basically like a 'master chief' of this series. Only cared about serving the military and completing his mission, which foolishly ended up leading him to be converted and killed, and opened up the wormhole. Capelli was a rude angry soldier with a concience that changed himself after the war and killing hale and wanted to protect his family at all costs. He has way more personality and complexity than Hale did.

Abe Azia 'Whish' they did the third one right, like they should have! The third one was bad. Gritty, nitty bullshit without the cool of hale or this 'valiant last stand' against creepy/cool aliens. Not to mention, there were other aliens other then thr Chimera, the Cloven worshipped them. Why didn't they just deus machina the shit outta them and scrap the third shit heap?

First I don't like how they portray Capelli as a cringey family man, I like him more in R2 as hot head asshole bitching about everything, but still he was good guy there. And of course I don't like anticlimactic ending, there is a lot of unanswered questions, like what happen with cloven, prehistoric war between pure chimera, and other alien race, who create grey tech, and what is his purpose, how they defeated chimera in russia/siberia and rest of the world? At begining of R3 was said, 90% of population was killed, so how remaining people was able retake the whole world, or what happen with operation Aloha on Hawaii, mentionied in R2..... Whole R3 feel to me, like developers stop caring for franchice, and try to end it fastest way possible... We really deserve one more game, or remake R3 with new story, that actually give us some answers...

Sony own the rights of Resistance franchise, its one of the first games came out with ps3, and now Sony should allow one company to Remaster the whole franchise or at least the Fall of Man and the 2, I DONT KNOW WHAT ITS HAPPENING WITH THEY, BUT ITS SEEMS THAT THEY DONT WANT TO THAT HAPPEN I really hope that they announce a remaster of this franchise on the E3 of this year, just one month....

God i love this game series so much. Unfortunately, i never got to play any of the multiplayer or online co-op sextions of any of them. By the time i finally got a PS3, the servers had already shut down. I greatly enjoyed what I did play though, and i hope one day these games are remastered for the PS5/6/Whatever with the multiplayer restored.

Resistance: fall of man is a interesting game setting of a man vs chimera battle & the weapons to both factions have 2 weapon functions with a good story. If there wasn’t a explanation per mission & let the game do the say then it be more focusing. It’s a 10/10 score from me because it starts the series. Resistance 2: is more amazing due to its new story in America & with new weapons to use with their 2 weapon attack functions with returning weapons to use there. As the fight against the chimera continues in America & the game uses cutscenes to explain resistance 2’s story. A 20/20 score from me because it more improved & more entertaining Resistance 3 is a alright game to me as it Sets its story in America & still reuses the same known weapons. As the fight vs the chimera continuities.
