A resistance generally has four color format and there is a wide space between 3rd and 4th band, which indicates from which end you should start reading, check where there is a wide space between colors, that's the end side. And one more thing, the end side is generally gold/silver/no color which makes them easier to identify.

Suppose yellow, blue, brown and red are four colour bands of a resistor. We can say yellow and blue are digits, brown is multiplier and red is tolerance. Again we can say red and brown are digits, blue is multiplier and yellow is tolerance .... I change here the Direction of counting the colour bands. But which should I use ? Please tell me ......
