Tiny recommendation for anyone: wrap the trailing icon widget with a SizedBox and set the height and width to 50 or so. This makes the drag button bigger and therefore easier to initiate the drag (for those of us with fat fingers HAHAHA).

Hello matt. Can you refactor this code with the new autovalidate that flutter has came up with. the old autovalidate is getting deprecated with autovalidateMode

it's a quite easy thing. you just need to use ternary operator and decide on autovalidateMode. Something like that autovalidateMode: state.showErrorMessages ? AutovalidateMode.always : AutovalidateMode.disabled,
