Great Video! So, can I send an image at 72ppi to print if the effective ppi is above 300ppi?

Thank you. So for printing is actual ppi or effective ppi important ? is it okay that actual ppi is 72 and effective 300+ for printing?

if I have a large image greater than 300ppi, how can I automatically bring the resolution to 300 within indesign? eg. Ive placed 10 images in indesign in smaller frames where the effective psi is much greater than 300, I would like to automatically bring them all to 300 to keep the file size effective. rather than do each image in PS.

So, when you say that for print 300 ppi is desired, do you mean actual or effective? For example that duck was 72 ppi, when resized you changed the effective to well over 300.
@JessicaGarrity2 жыл бұрын
At least 300ppi is ideal for print. The effective ppi is the resolution it will print at (actual is just the ppi of the original file it's linked to, before being resized). Hope this helps clarify!

I'm sorry, but my eyes always bleed when I see this. Click then zooooooom out, resize image and zooom in again, why? Just place image and click and drag ;)

DTP tutoriály CZ yep, you can also place it into a frame and autofit! With all Adobe software, there's a ton of ways to get the same result. Thanks for sharing your prefered technique!

All basic info from your teacher...No info to fix something. Your title has 'resizing images' in it. No info on how to resize an low resolution to a higher one... Thanks anyway.

Hi, it sounds like you’re looking for “upsampling”. This is not a recommended technique, but is possible. I’d suggest using that as your search term, and you’ll find plenty of examples on how to upsample. Hope this helps
