Resolve "unable to connect to the VM on port 22" error - GCP VM

Hi Bro, i have created a VM in GCP which is having public ip, that is not mapped with any vpc, i have generated RSA key using putty gen and used that in vm, but when i try to connect that vm, unable to connect, if i would create firewall rule, will it work ?

Hi Anil You cannot create a VM without any VPC, if you did not assign Any VPC it will use the default vpc. So you need a firewall in the default vpc. And use ssh option in console or gcloud command to login

@@techtrapture Yeah I did that, it worked for the browser ssh, but for remote ssh, it is not working

@@techtrapture I am using putty gen to create ssh key pair and then trying to ssh using private key file with ppk format, I reach to login as, when I apply username it shows no supported authentication methods available

Read the documentation about oslogin features. You might need some additional permission or metadata

@@techtrapture It worked, I was able to do vpc peering and select customized subnets and connectivity was ok

@@techtrapture i did create vm and launch first time it work fine ogin to ssh net time i got same error then i follow your ut i got same issue again cant login ssh
