Fian Champions, the medieval machine bow xD the trick to all archers army is to split them into at leaast 2 groups and have them create flanking fire. the AI won't know which group to go for and die to arrows from the other directions

Just so ya know, the Battanian archers can only be recruited at villages whose bound settlements are castles. I believe it’s the case for every faction as well regarding troop type. If you’re looking for a specific troop type you can narrow down your search easier to find them in either city villages or castle villages.

8:52 if you ever have an issue like this you can choose what your troops engage with by pointing toward the enemy infantry logo and choosing the engage action

Whenever I get a lot of Fian Champions, I split them in several groups and go for F6 after assigning them good formation leaders (that is, with high archer influence). Never fails

28:52 Use f1 then click f4 "engage" this will make them hold formation and only shot at the selected target, they will also fall back if things get to close.

This doesn't count as 'Archer Only' if you're using Fians, they're better 2h melee than most actual melee infantry.

Oh my god I've been using crossbowmen the whole time Also, try kicking in those awkward tourney fights. It helps, especially if you can back them against the wall and stunlock them.

You know what, I`ll try the same in RoT. With Volantene Tiger Cloaks and Dothraki horse archers. It`ll be fun. I hope. Although these units are not even nearly as strong as Battanian Fians, unfortunately. So I`m not sure if this is a good idea.
