At least their tribes are not living in Manila slums. It is really painful to see Filipinos who are living in the slums. They feed themselves from the land and by hunting. That is their culture. When I was young, my mother used to give Aetas food and clothing. She was very sympathetic to them. They are peaceful people, yet some Filipinos discriminate them. They are part of our history and they are also Filipinos. They were in the Philippines first before a lot of us do. I compare to them as American Indians who were the first inhabitants of the USA. The Americans Indians are the real true blooded Americans and everybody is an immigrant in USA, yet they are discriminated. No more discrimination for the Aetas and American Indians. People took advantage of them because they are not well educated.
