Jordan Peterson is the father I never had and the mentor I never knew I needed. I went from suicidal drug addict of 20 years to making my bed and getting my shit together in one year thanks to him inspiring hope in me. I’ve just celebrated 1 year of sobriety and now I’m studying to become a counsellor and volunteering in my community. I owe JP such a huge debt of gratitude for kicking me up the arse. I adore this man. 🙌❤️

Philip Thompson I suppose it’s because universities increasingly spew out academics who think the exact same way. It’s difficult for original thinkers who are also making counter-arguments for ingrained cultural ideas to be accepted never mind embraced. I certainly think academia used to be much less stiflingly but that’s not the case anymore as a norm.

I have managed to finally get in shape after a long hard journey of never giving up, and wanting to prove to myself and everyone who didn't believe in me, that I AM able to do hard things. I AM able to achieve greatness. I pushed myself outside my comfort zone by join my school's track and football team. 4:50 - It is not more difficult than that. It is that simple. The power of thought, you are what you think you are. If you can train your brain to believe what you tell it, then you will become that belief and you will do those things that you tell yourself to do. Keep sticking with the Peterson niche, the subscribers will stay, and the subscribers will grow. Spread too thin and you become like sand, stick to one focus and you become solid, like a rock - as Peterson might say. You’re doing amazing and it’s great seeing you grow on your journey

It's interesting how Peterson recognizes competence- one of the three essential needs of Self-Determination. I have the self-respect to stand up for myself and others. Dr. Peterson's speaking is the stream of thought that works out the confusing nonsense left over in many people's minds from their own parents' abuse and dysfunction. I look back on what was "normal" in my childhood, even though my values were radically different even back then, and find that everything my parents tried to force on me was not just wrong (because of the right to autonomy), but also seriously damaging. I'm very fortunate I didn't internalize shame, which allowed me to have the self-respect necessary that protected my own inner fire, leading to liberation. It took a long time to realize that other people around me are drowning in shame, and some of them are blind to it like a fish to water.

I think people expect some super hero to save them from danger in movies but this man is really a superhero who is saving many young people from dangers and depression and discouragement and dissapointments and frustration and giving us new hope. Just change the perspective of life and see everything will be changed. I found him just a week ago but I feel as if I knew him from many years because ideas and thoughts are agreeable. I'm incredibly greatful for coming across Jordan. It's hard to put into words for me. Most people would say my life is tragic and I use to think so. Now I realize what a gift I was given at an extremely younge age. I use to think something was taken from me that would never truly be returned. It's so different now!!! I now believe I was given a gift, the people that hurt me were the ones that lost something. It's an interesting way of looking at it. But it has freed me. I now understand why I am different. I understand and now appreciate my suffering. I just needed to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart Jordan!!! You have helped me bring peace to my soul ✨
