One of the best things I’ve learned is to correspond between text only. Then, I have time to think about if I even need to react, and if I do I keep it short & sweet. I communicate very sharply, almost like speaking with a dog I’m training (and yes, narcs CAN be trained!). “No! That doesn’t work for me, Goodbye”. End of correspondence. If they disrespect me, I block & delete. My therapist & you, Stephanie, have helped me so much! Also, psychedelic assisted therapy has been invaluable. Killing my ego has helped so much in my overcoming my trauma journey!

Me too! People who said they loved me and were so happy I came into their family, completely turned on me and want nothing to do with me. I can’t imagine what was said and I don’t want to know. I’ve experienced evil before but this is an evil I never knew existed.

When I picked up my kids from my old house, my ex wife gave my son a banana knowing I would throw out the peel. I opened up the outside trash can and saw she threw out all my Christmas decorations and it set me off. It’s truly sick that someone could use and abuse you and then taunt you for leaving their toxic ass.

Yes, they're extremely cruel. When I moved out of my living arrangement with a narcissist (non romantic) a while back, I mentioned something to hear, to which her response was, "I knew you were good for something." Her eyes were full of hate and anger. These people just love being cruel.

Exciting video, A year ago I took the no contact route, well i wouldn't say it didn't go well, but i missed her and sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and go for what you want, Without knowing and having a huge ego, we might actually miss out on our soul mate all in the name of not settling for less, I know who i am, and at the same time i know what i want for me, so i did all i could to get her back, and I must say, it was the best decision i have ever made, we have been together again for over 7 months, yes marriage isn't always rosy, but i am lucky to have her, just as she is to have me, we compliment each other.

Oh my, 100% this is my week. I thought I had my mum minimised when she began her narc games but with one line she got past my “perimeter fence” and made me rage for 2 days. My instant emotion was to lash out and defend but I kept telling myself that would be pointless and reminded myself of your past videos on Respond don’t React and Dont get on the ride. Thank you Stephanie as always for validating our feelings and being there with such help and support ❤

I can’t believe how timely this video is for me today. Just yesterday, he triggered something in me that I thought I had overcome. His words were calculated and hit exactly where it hurts most-he knew the impact they’d have. It’s clear now that the intensity of my reaction stems from unresolved internal wounds. Thank you, Stephanie, for this video; I truly needed to hear these insights today.

Thank you, ma'am. You always hit home runs but this one is exactly what I needed to hear, nowadays. Until recently, I had been spending all of my time and energy trying to adjust my lines in the sand, only to realize I was being egotistical. My situation is inescapable and my lines aren't respected, anyway, so something else needs to happen. What's the lesson? I'm trying to forgive and not let ish get to me. I'm also trying to communicate better. Laugh!!!! Be entertained by their bs. Everything you mentioned in this one hits home. ❤

For me, its like a swap of emotions. The narc creates a situation that is designed to create an emotion in me, but the thing is: I'm not responding with MY OWN emotions, I'm taking on the narcs anger, frustration, trauma, ect. Once I realized that it was GAME OVER for them. Their tactics ONLY work if I respond. So, I'm completely non reactive to the narcs. Its crazy on my end to take on their trauma. And it's crazy on their end to see their trauma on me and be all happy because the narc temporarily gets a sense of relief. Wouldn't it take less time to work through their stuff. The narc at this point is traumatized by their own personality. That's why they are always trying to delegate "their stuff" to the strong. They try tearing others down, meanwhile they are trying to build themselves up with the SAME qualities that they're trying to extinguish in others. The devil has exploited their pain and given them HIS personality and taught them HIS ways. So, they put on the devil's dark powers to protect themselves from pain. They inflict it 1st so that others don't "get over on them"

Why does my wife of 8-9 years literally throw away every opportunity to grow, and even give away things of value to her family members who do not value them.. Yes, she grew up in poverty.. But we joined together to make her life better and for me to have a partner in life.. But her mind reverts constantly away from our vision, to the point that it feels like she is married to every friend and family member - and not at all to me... Also, yes - I should have mastered our goals and never let her take them off track.. But she starts tiny, and works into disaster.. Like Adam and Eve.. Just a little bite and life as we knew it has ended..
