The fact that the "journalist" blocked Adam says everything to me. A journalist with integrity would discuss the matter and either withdraw the article and provide a new one with all opinions or even further provide a new article with the victims' statements. He most certainly does not deserve a career in journalism, present or future. One of the worst parts, in my opinion, is that he is PROUD of his hit piece article and has doubled down. It’s about time people like him are held accountable for such shady and immoral journalistic practices. Nobody deserves or is entitled to a career in a particular field, ESPECIALLY one that should so heavily depend on ethics and has the power to influence the opinions of millions of people. To me, this is a “one strike you’re out” kind of deal, especially when it is dealing with something this serious in nature, involving minor victims of grooming. It’s been so great to see other journalists with integrity who have come out in support of Adam and have denounced the article. That’s something society needs more of.

Honestly when I first saw the article I was horrified. I have read/supported/admired vanity fair and cosmopolitan since I was a teen (I'm am almost 27 now) and them allowing poorly researched crap like this to exist ON THE FUCKING INTERNET is just mind-boggling to me. Because as we all know, the internet never forgets and stuff can't never be deleted "completely". What also confuses me to no end is, that those publications took such a clear stand with the Me-too and Times-up Movements, giving a voice to the victims. So them publishing articles that side with the aggressors and downplaying, if not straight up belittling the victims (which were mostly underage, so I expect even more outrage, not this victim-blaming crap) feels like a slap in the face.
