i remembered a genuine question just now, maybe u already talked abt this but- yknow those situations like when for example u had a big lead and u get hit by some bs n now its even last stock n ur shook n start playing **not to lose** at that point i can already expect to lose cuz my mentality is so shit - when i win im even surprised ik the best is to not get shook but is there even a good way to go back to good mental after ur already like that

What do you think about choosing mains based on the best reps with negative traits that least annoy you? Mine is bad end lag, and I like to Min Min and Aegis. I feel it lets me put more brain power into areas I can accel while bypassing aspects of the game I both am bad at and don't enjoy.

What do you do when you're on a losing streak? I tend to get frustrated and switch characters

First I’d say determine your goal. Sometimes when I lose a lot, I get frustrated, but then I remind myself I only play for fun anyways. While I do try to improve overtime, I’m not trying to be the best in the world. The only time I do get frustrated is making mistakes I shouldn’t have regardless of if I win or lose. Second, if it helps, remember that getting frustrated only makes your playing worse because your heightened emotions typically let you think less clearly, leaving you to pick your default options again and again. Also with emotions, people tend to play too defensive or too aggressive rather than mix things up. Third, I recommend trying to stick with your main or top 3 characters. Save and rewatch your matches. Figure out why you’re losing, if there are certain mistakes you’re making like wasting a double jump off stage or air dodging for no reason, or running in with an attack without utilizing movement well. If so, then correct those. Or maybe your opponents are beating you because your character has a weak point that they’re focusing on. If so, watch KZbin video guides, watch pro players play the matchup, or join a discord and find out how to improve those weaknesses. If you’re truly trying to win, then you may need a different character for specific matchups, but switching too often is bad because you’ll never get really good with a certain character. How I picked my characters is: There are too many characters to try so I kinda split them into archetypes. I loved swordies the best, and I find heavies really fun. So I played a bunch of dw or does, heavies, learned their play styles, and came to a decision which character I want to learn. When I lose a lot, I either try to improve or I remind myself I’m playing for fun anyways, if I’m not having fun, I should take a break and recoup. I also picked my characters understanding that they have some tough matchups and it is what it is. That being said, I main Aegis to use when I want to win. I secondary Byleth because her punish game and early kills are so fun! Then casually I play Ike, and heavies (previously Bowser, now I’m trying Incineroar)
