That's a nice wall behind you. I knew you were heading towards the Cocteau Twins when you started your description! I love that Heaven 17 LP! I don't mind some Iron Maiden 🙂Cool video!

If anyone was going to pick up on the Cocteau Twins lead in, I knew it'd be you. 😆 I have a bunch of Heaven 17: a long-time favorite. Trying to win some points with the metal crowd, I suppose! This was fun to put together 😎🎶

Great job, Ed! I think I need that Cocteau Twins record. Loved the Little Creatures story, too, only because I have done a similar thing once or twice! I was surprised to see Iron Maiden, but you always seem to have a surprise or two up your sleeve. Fantastic entry! Good luck!

Hi Ed. You have been entered in the contest. I am hoping you're going to be nice if you win and pick the CDs. It's been freezing cold up here in my neck of the woods. I am digging that wall display you made just for this contest video. Bonus! Bruce Hornsby all the way!!! And, the most shocking thing... I honestly couldn't believe it when you pulled that Iron Maiden. I was definitely not expecting that one by a long shot. Glad you had fun with this one! Cheers, Darryl.

My pleasure Darryl, and congrats again! These prompts/questions of yours had me thinking for this entry. I'm pretty sure I'll opt for the CD's if I win: my brand is 'Be Kind To One Another', after all!

Very nice Cocteau Twins compilation. Your description was perfect. I only have my original copy of Treasure with a bonus EP. I have a copy of that Berence Whitfield record, and I got it in Massachusetts! I knew Mojo, but was a Q magazine loyalist for many years. I have a cool CD compilation from Heaven 17. Very listenable 80s synth new wave just as you said. I did a big purge before the move, but the apartment collection is growing. I couldn’t agree more on your sentiment of discovering new music through the vinyl community. Killers was a surprise but it’s great. I have a CD copy. ✌️

Thanks, Mike! That Cocteau Twins comp checks all the boxes for me, for sure. I may have that same Heaven 17 CD comp I think...it's called 'Endless', right? Great remixes on that. I've been pretty diligent about getting records out the door where my local record shop can benefit, and they get a new home. All that cash goes back into the record buying fund! 😎🎶

Hi Ed, great to see you show the Cocteau Twins. The best thing to ever come out of Grangemouth. Love Little Creatures… in my top 3 Talking Heads albums. Oh man, what a shame getting hit with a big shipping fee like that. Still nice to have something unusual in your collection. I didn’t realise people bought old Mojos. I’ve subscribed almost since the beginning and have thrown countless issues in the bin. Great magazine though! Cheers, Jack

@TheVinylVoyage-ud3uf I picked up Mojo each month for nearly 20 years, and those back issues along with the CDs are very collectible, as my eBay page can attest! It is a great magazine: turned me onto a lot of great artists. If you have any left hanging around, sell those bad boys, Jack! 😎🎶

Hey, Ed! Nice wall! I’m listening while walking, and I just reached the station, so now I can watch and comment. I am surprised to see you have Killers, although the way you set it up, I was almost expecting Cannibal Corpse. I enjoyed your “pod cast”. As always, you voice and your selections are a pleasure to the ear and music brain.

Ed, I had 1000s of music magazines from the early 80s forward. I use to buy over 10 music magazines a month. I was a,so going to sell those off until the flood. I had a few tubs that did survive that were in my garage. Good to know I could have made some money on the, lol.

I liked your Talking Heads story. I have been known to not read all the fine print in my purchases. I also liked the Barrence Whitfield albums he did with Tom Russell. I used to buy Mojo and Uncut back in the day and I still have most of those magazines. I do have four Go-Betweens albums but I am always on the lookout. Hopefully I can show my last two acquisitions on my next vinyl finds video. Great closing.
