The life and death of Jesus (pbuh) is subject to the greatest amount of conjecture, misrepresentations and false attributions among all the prophets mentioned in the Quran. In order to clarify and purify his personality from all the falsehoods attributed to him, this lecture presents the prophecies of Jesus (pbuh) in his own words and clarification from God All-Mighty Himself to raise his personality for the benefit of those seeking the truth about Jesus the Son of Mary (pbuh). This lecture was presented by Mohammad Shaikh during his visit to North America in 2013 to a mixed audience comprised of local Christians, Ahmedi / Qadiani Muslims, and traditionalist Muslims all of whom have their own respective concepts in relation to life and death of Jesus (pbuh), and which are all in contradictions to what is written in the Quran. An enlightening lecture and equally enlightening question and answer session that followed after the lecture.

It is very well cleared from the Quranic ayats that Allah gave death to Essa PBUH, Allah raised him in degree/ honour and its Allah who purifies him from people's false charges.

Killing the personality of prophets and messengers has been a behavior of unbelievers . They have not spared prophet and messenger Eesa AS from it . Distorting his real character with falsified beliefs. Only Quran explains his birth, life and death . JazakAllah

The life cycle of Messenger and Prophet Isa/Jesus, son of Mary (PBUH), is one of the greatest and clearest signs of Almighty Allah. His birth was a miracle, he is a healer, and His command over life and death by the will of Allah/God is evident. *His peaceful death is affirmed through recited verses*.

This sermon explains and clarifies in detail the status of Jesus/Essa pbuh in Al-Kitab and also compares what is mentioned about him in Bible. The misconceptions of biblical Jesus prevailing in the world are clarified through the ayats of Al-Kitab. People were planning and claiming that they killed Jesus/Essa pbuh which Allah denies. One has to ponder that how anyone can kill and/or take life of someone who has power over death as Jesus/Essa pbuh was given power to give life to dead by the permission of Allah. So, Allah specifically mentions regarding Jesus/Essa pbuh death that He will complete his life and cause him to die. It’s a stepwise process, first Allah will complete his life, secondly Allah will raise him in honour and then clear him from people who are rejecting with what is mentioned about the personality of Jesus/Essa pbuh in the Quran. Hence, both physical and psychological killing of Jesus/Essa pbuh and further biblical misconception of being raised in skies alive is denied by Allah. From birth till death, the life and after death life of prophet and messenger Essa ibn e Maryam / Jesus son of Mary pbuh is so much question of belief for the major world community. The version narrated in the Quran is topic of a full lecture, already delivered by the remarkable scholar Mohammad Shaikh. It is clarified herein that people planned to kill or crucify Essa /Jesus pbuh who was given power of life over death. So only Allah could give him death by taking back the power and He pretold him. When so happened, people became doubtful as to whether they killed him and crucified him or it was done by Allah as they could never kill him. Jesus pbuh died in peace and raised in degrees to Allah. People still in doubt and impressed from biblical stories of his return back on earth and the conspiracy theories branch out further down the religious narratives in the world. Quran is so clear in clarification about the personality, character and one life cycle of honorable Jesus son of Mary that no other human personality in Quran can match it.

Eisa/Jesus (pbuh) is one of the messengers/prophets of Islam. He was the son of Maryam/Mary (pbuh) . Essa / Jesus pbuh in his last sermon gave ‘Good News’ of a Messenger who will come after him named ‘Ahmed / more praiseworthy’ No one is coming back when Allah takes the soul and completes death. It’s not in the Book of Allah, that after death there is returning.

One of the miracles given to Essa/Jesus was to give life to the dead by Allah. A person who has power over death cannot be killed until Allah takes it away. So, Essa/Jesus predicted about his death that will die in peace( one life cycle) & mentioned for a messenger to come after him. Unbelievers planned to kill him as they did not like his preaching. Essa/Jesus realised this & asked 'Who will be my helpers towards Allah?'. The companions or disciples said 'We are helpers of Allah ', who were Muslims/Submitters & we believe in what is revealed. Also, write us down among the witnesses. While in the Bible, in the same situation, most hour of need all disciples forsook him & fled. Allah told Essa/Jesus, 'I will cause you to die', meaning complete your soul then raise you in degrees or ranks & purify you. When this happened, people claimed that they killed Essa/Jesus when they could not have as Allah did it. So, the planning of unbelievers was unsuccessful as Allah caused him to die, it seemed similar to them & they are in suspicion. Allah denies that they did kill Essa/Jesus, also his crucifixion. After completing Essa/Jesus's life, Allah raised his degrees in honour & purified him. While Bible emphasis on Jesus was raised into the heavens, alive. This concept of raising to the skies is biblical. After listening to the ayats, I believe that Essa/Jesus was caused to die by Allah in peace (one life cycle) & planning of unbelievers was unsuccessful. Raised in ranks & purified as Allah told him. Also, believe in the prophecy about 'Ahmad' to come in his last sermon.

Jesus pbuh was empowered by Allah to give Life to dead therefore he couldn’t be killed. He was born & died in peace & will be brought back to life on the day of judgement like any other human being. No I completely believe that Jesus (pbuh) was not crucified because Allah gave him the power to give life to the dead so how come someone kills such a person other than Allah. There are two prophecies that Jesus pbuh is giving about him to the people 1.A messenger is coming after him 2.He is forecasting that he will die in peace. I understand that Jesus pbuh is not coming back and Allah has raised him in terms of degrees not in the skies.
