It might be a US forest service fire truck, I've seen them in northern California using them back in the early 80's.

Nice score. Had a '78 D150 Power Wagon. 318 4 speed 203 t-case. Dang, I miss that truck....

Cool old truck! This '77-'78 grille is my fave. You can look on the engine block on driver's side near the motor mount and see if it's a 318 or 360. There's a list of confusing numbers but the engine displacement shows up like XXXXXXXX-318-XX or XXXXXXXX-360-XX.

That's a cool truck looks dumb with a back bumper on the front of it but that's a easy fix I love those old Dodge Trucks

You can tell if its a 318 or 360 just look at the motor mounts. The driver side are different on the 360. The block ears closer together on a 360. So basically a 318 will motor mounts will look the same on both sides. 360 will not. I could be wrong. It has been awhile

Hope you keep the sun roof. Pretty rare option on any of these trucks. 318 was common in these trucks. You can convert that NP203 transfer case to a part time t case, but the kit is hard to find these days. Your lucky the dash isn’t falling apart. No one makes reproduction dashes. Or really anything for these trucks.
