Omg!!!!! 😢😢😢Jada!! God has shut it down completely. My ability to sleep. I have tried everything on the market plus prescribed medications and I still don’t sleep! I have not rested in over 9 years. It started when my mother was diagnosed with Cancer. She passed away 7 years ago. And I still don’t have peace of mind. Even though in my heart and mind I know that she is at peace. Her death has made me a total control freak 😢😢! Every time the Cancer would return my family and I would pray and believe in faith that God would heal her and He did. Until He didn’t…. She was my best friend! Wow today is the first day that I can honestly admit that , that is when I stopped trusting God. 😢😢 I want to get back to that place of rest and faith in Him. I truly do!!

Losing a loved one is tough. I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. The enemy is an opportunist and will use anything that he can to keep us distant and disappointed in God. Remind yourself that this earth is not our home/final destination. We live for eternity; we are just stopping through here to glorify and worship God. Try not to underestimate the value of heaven. As christians, that is where we long to be. When life happens and hits us hard, we have eternity to look forward to. Practically, maybe you could get into the rhythm of worshipping, journaling, and praying before bed - or whenever those thoughts come. Saturate yourself in God’s presence and become familiar with His word and promises. Declare that He’s been faithful. Recall, record, and savor who and what God has been in your life. Lastly, a couple of months ago I did a podcast on KZbin titled The Christian Tension: Mental Health - S4, E5 that may be encouraging to you. Praying for you!
