A wise man, Mr Russell Means I first saw him and was moved by his presence in the movie, The last of The Mohicans. I feel his life was a journey, a mountain that he came to to be one with. I am honored to have crossed the path of Mr Means and now I can share in his wisdom. May the breath of God Breath upon him in his new life and give you strength and joy as you Mrs Pearl Means continue your journey, be well and thank you for sharing, I shall be watching.

I feel that had to be one of the greatest speakings, any man , could deliver for all..It was an all time great, Pearl. I loved how cute you were as you just backed him in his journey so beautifully...The two of you will be a legacy for all time. Just that one day was truly monumental. I replay so many times and will always remember your pretty smile as you looked at him in that slight smirk, while he was so honorable and really put his heart in his meaningful delivery that day..Wonder why his name was Means ? I thought, wow, that guy really means what he says and he really knows how to deliver with greatness, kindness, and Honor..I was literally blown away.. and you looked, over and smirked, as you knew it.. What a delivery the two of you presented that day !

Beautiful comments from everyone, I know that anyone who seeks out Russell Means great wisdom is guided by the love and wisdom in our hearts and not by the self or ego of the brain. We are all Lakota our great indigenous people of this earth are the last of the keepers of the ancient way of life that existed across all continents. As the ages have passed and man has sunk lower into the material vibrations he has committed the most heinous crimes against his fellow brothers & sisters, to the living creatures, and to our Mother the earth itself. We need great people like Russell to guide us, galvanize us and give us hope. He has taught us many wise beautiful things even his great mantra "With Freedom Comes Responsibility" the best we can all do to honour this great man, is to try our best to walk in his shoes or should I say moccasins. Peace, Love and Light to you all.

Chief Means was a GREAT American and very much worthy of his war eagle & crazy horse heritage When the Native American People speak for themselves: The story is one of wisdom, empathy, justice, fairness, strength, courage, morality and RESPECT for all When others speak for them: The story is singular- pity This is the reason a man would rather be hated & scorned than pitied: Pity is a despicable emotion given by the craven & incorrigibly corrupt... acquiesced in by only a scoundrel Chief Means was a worthy leader... those members of our COTUS viz Means & Native American People worthy of only pity indeed UGH! Recommendations I have: The following things I believe should be implemented to help preserve, promote & inculcate respect for the American Native Peoples: 1. Organize Traditional Sports- lacross etc & set up leagues inter tribe, confederations reservations with prizes for all & especially for finishers... some skill based type sports celebration of skill sets: archery, cooking traditional food fairs, carving, navigation with beads & natural markers... Divisions amongst these all age groups in competition is a great way to also re-learn & promote language 2. Language... Native American language schools should be built & teachers should be compensated & trained so that at least 1/2 the school day is full immersion in that particular tribes language, book, 'poetry/song' prizes for all ages should be available & publishing houses for news & promotion of language should be started... this is good work & will allow creativity & reward as the language is promoted 3. There should be a NATIONAL GATHERING of all the tribes week in which reps of each tribe can come together with a fair to sell trade & share culture language experience... this should be held in concert with actual music, creative writing & food fairs open to all the public to support & learn about the Native American people & thus appreciation 4. there should be a separate NATIONAL GATHERING of all the tribes as a 'political' cultural linguistic evaluation... and we should have at least some politicians/1 SCOTUS Justice visit to hear about issues and commit to solutions I also believe as Chief Means did that the Native American People should choose their own leadership Also I believe more land should be returned so that Native Americans can be sustainable as they are really awesome at being when not being handicapped at each success so I would cede greater lands & ensure they could bring the Bison/Buffalo back, traditional fishing hunting gathering planting & growing etc etc If the 4 simple things above were adopted then I believe that the Native American peoples could experience a great re-birth... we are all impoverished when these people are diminished & we are all made prosperous when these people flourish: GOD created EVERYONE & GOD does NOT make mistakes!
