What sad news! 😭😭💔I will always remember Ellie as happy, free, with her unique way of running and expressing her joy. For me, Ellie will always be a symbol of the refuge, an everlasting reminder of how much this place is and always will be a place of freedom and protection, a place of new beginnings, a place of happy endings, a place of peace. I know Ellie is happy and well. She's back running around the roads, woods, olive trees and every corner of the refuge🌈. It will be a sadder Christmas without her. We won't forget you, Ellie, ever! Ellie was like that first ray of sunshine when she greeted Takis each morning. My heart is broken for Takis' loss. He has lost two of his beloved, Sakis and now Ellie...his heart must be feeling the heaviness and numbness of his loss. He loved them the moment he rescued them and he loved them to the last second they were on this earth, always in his care. They are what makes up his heart and there they will always be. I will never forget those two days ,when i lost my two dear brothers . First ,lost Aricito,at the age of 5. He was a dog brother to me. Loved that dog so much,been fighting for him so much,despite his illness never gave up,gave him everything. Was so tough to lose him,then a month after i lost him ,also lost my human younger brother at the age of 36. Lost two only brothers in a month time. Life is cruel sometimes.

I 💯 understand this we had a 7 year young English Setter we found out in November Ellie had a enlarged heart that day I went to the meat market to buy her chicken because she wasn't eating. I got home and I was opening tye door and the word's Ellie died came through my mind I went inside normally she would be barking it was silent because our Springer is deaf and I went to her crate and she passed away. It sucks still to this day Ellie will be in a better place with our HEAVENLY FATHER and one day Taki you will see all your fur babies that passed away they will all greet you.
