When my mum died 12 years ago, I had dreams / nightmares (depending on your point of view) that she was still alive for months. Every time I woke up was like having it all happen again. I still have dreams about her coming back to life once in a while, but they aren’t as traumatic anymore. I usually just find myself happy to be with her again, and when I wake up I’m just happy that I got the time again. The grieving process is hard and I am starting to think it never really ends. It does get less painful though, so … there’s that.

As an A&P mechanic watching this made me cry. Thank you guys for the great work you guys do in bringing him home. Amazing work. This is why i got into the aviation community. My deepest sympathy’s to the family from Arizona. Hopefully they can find the closure needed from this amazing work.

Just Simply handled with love and compassion. I hope people strive to be so beautiful as this man's heart is. Extremely sad story, i feel terrible for the families loss, but the comfort they have now with heavy D helping must take huge burden off this family. God blesss this man and his family.

I'm an aviator also HD. Helo, fixed wing and small UAS pilot. Got to be honest. It's hard to "enjoy" this presentation under the circumstances. Having said that, I truly appreciate what you and the assembled team did for this family. I have lost friends due to aircraft accidents and it is not an easy time even when you have immediate access to remains... You are a blessing brother...

I do agree with this sentiment, and have heart felt condolences. What strikes me odd, being a poor aviation enthusiast is that I cant afford any aviation hobby but here they have plane(s) with magnificent hanger, land, fork lift, jeep, etc.. But no insurance, no money for recovery, and doing a go fund me to recover plane because they couldnt afford insurance & $50k recovery as we see million in assets? Weird. Guess thats how the rich be rich...

Pretty amazing to see the Patey brothers working along side Heavy D and crew to help a fellow aviator’s family… Aviation community is one of the best out there.

As a priest, it is part of my role to offer closure and comfort to the family by offering the respect that every person is due, particularly at the time of death. It is a true ministry to offer what you have offered this family. Blessings to you for this difficult work. It is not surprising that you experienced such peace in doing so. May God bless and others who have cared for this family.

Now THIS is what being American is all about! Taking care of your fellow countrymen and women without hesitation! I just wished that more could be like you guys, and those who do things like this without much recognition get that recognition and be saluted as nothing but genuine heroes! Keep up the amazing and honorable work guys! 🙂👍 ❤

I sat here and cried. Thank you for helping that family. I can't believe they were going to charge them so much money to get him off the mountain. You all completed a challenging but rewarding task and bent over backwards to help a lady recover her husband's remains in a very short amount of time. 💝💝
