At school we had a “Wall Of Shame” which showed celebrities who died of drug overdoses, and reasons ‘why we shouldn’t look up to them’. River was on it. It was all complete BS, it was him, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, and many more, I was so pissed because they were such good people, so much talent, yet whoever made it had the nerve to remember how amazing celebrities died, and not when they were happy and living.😢

River is an excellent role model. He has been the only man to examplify to me how a man should be. He's been a father figure to me, a fatherless girl. I think people should inform themselves before they form an opinion.

Nainai Johnson Please don't tell me about respect over an actor I've admired since I was a kid and who was only 9 years my senior. I will never forget the exact moment I heard of his tragic passing when I was 14 years old in the Fall of 1993. "Please give respect"? I uploaded *3* River Tribute videos on _my_ KZbin channel this year. The major difference between my videos and the individual who uploaded this is, I actually took the time to compose something special to honor the 24th Anniversary since River's passing. I didn't just re-upload a bunch of clips and called them a tribute video. Let me close by offering you a piece of advice, do a little research before you judge others. If you had checked out my channel you would have undoubtedly noticed my tribute videos instead of trying to 'school' me about respect for an actor from my own generation who I *fully respect.*

maybe he was depressed and the Dr gave him some depression med's to help him and it made the depression worse and he could not take it so he overdoes and i know from take the med's because i was depressed at one point and time but anyways i was getting off topic there but anyways it can help you or it can't make you feel worse then you were before so with things like this you never know what happen or what the person is going through unless you walk in their shoes for a day i am sad that Rivers died but he was the best actor and even tho he is dead me and my mother loved his movies that he acted in. #RIP Rivers Phoenix
