Can you please tell which security is used with http protocol while transfer of data between client and server with rest WebServices?

304 status code says no change...means no change in content since last checked. But http is stateless. how does it identify what was requested last and hence no modification?
@mrrishiraj88 Жыл бұрын
14:00 Status codes for CRUD operations
@giovannizotti85495 жыл бұрын
Status Code 302: redirect; in the Location field of the header there is the new URL. But the client (the browser) can choose the method for the next request: 302 doesn't explain which method should use the new request. It's a bad choice because different browsers can act differently. 303 force the browser to a GET request, while 307 keeps the original HTTP method (the method of the first request). Nevertheless 302 is more compatible with old browsers, the ones that don't support HTTP 1.1.

HTTP is stateless so how can a server remember what response has it served to what client. So when will a server respond with a 304 not modified error code as explained by you at 11: 57

Sir, Please explain, what is log4j. where is the exactly used in web application.There are lots of problems facing in log4j.your tutorial is very nice.
@imranbd19 жыл бұрын
ASHISH SHARMA Well, log4j is a logging API from Apache. If you are using Log4j in Tomcat, then make sure the jar files are inside the CATALINA_HOME/lib directory. One of the common mistakes with logging API´s is having the jar files saved both inside the CATALINA_HOME/lib directory and also inside the web application´s classpath, which might result in ClassNotFoundException.

Hello Kaushik, Firstly very nice job explaining things in simpler way. But I have one question regarding REST WS. Can we say AJAX calls are RESTfull WS?? We can declare method type, content type, return type, make URI as per our req, pass vars etc.....???? Anyone else is welcome to answer too.
@Megaprog9 жыл бұрын
+Jaikrat Singh Tariyal I think the WS is the guy in the server, the one that gives you the response, and the AJAX is a way to comunicate with the server, so they can't be the same, but what you can do is to call a WS withing an Ajax request.
