Thanks for sharing. I haven’t had to do this yet, I’m on a standby if my migraine won’t break.

That is great you have a plan for an unbreakable Migraine. We Migraine patients need plans a b c and d! I hope you never need it but glad it is available in case you do.

Happy New year to you too! Thank you for the encouragement. Thus far it has been helping me! Severity and frequency of migraines has reduced. It's been wonderful. I am still dealing with them, but the change is so nice. Thinking of you - hoping you are doing as well as possible.

Boy, you’re on a roll. I support you, but I am in some sort of “a personal thing” myself right now either. Will be back though. Hang in there!

I hope the meds are already helping! I was going last year for an infusion of vyepti every 3 months. I really crashed unfortunately. Didn't realize until i was back up to every day migraines. They are so tricky, everyone is so different. Also he is such a good boy! What a comfort our animals are. ^^ Feel better soon, and that's in the -as good as you can with chronic illness- way, hehe.

Oh no! Did the Vyepti cause side effects or did it not help? It's one on my list that I haven't tried yet. As you say, everyone is so different and what works for one person doesn't for another. lol- yes I understand what you mean about feeling better in the chronic illness way!

@@IncredibleAnyway It just did not help at all. I think it was 7 months that I tried and i didn't realize how sick i was until it was every day again. But, a pain friend on yt who has one type of the migraines i get,(Her name is Lifelong brain freeze,) Hemiplegic has had great success with it. So yeah, everyone is different! I'm back on Aimovig and my new doctor at VCU is taking an approach about the structural issues i have with my neck. I kept telling everyone but you know, lol. So now my neck and cervical spine are starting to be treated which is really helping. Not 100% but better. I've had migraines since i was a kid, my whole family gets them. But it wasn't until about 10 years ago that they turned to daily. I'd never even seen a doctor for them until about 4 or 5 years ago. So wish I'd have been able to get to a neurologist sooner!

Oh that sucks Vyepti didn't help at all. I had a physiatrist tell me that if you have problems with your neck, of course you would have Migraines. So, I think that is great you are getting those issues taken care of and hopefully you will continue to find improvement with the migraines. Even though you didn't get to a neuro sooner, you are seeing one now and that is what important!

That’s kind of crazy with everything going on that they wouldn’t let you do it at home but instead send you to a hospital where like you could be exposed to more germs and stuff like that and then they’re already crowded as it is they’ve made a lot of different changes for stuff going on right now so I’m surprised that they wouldn’t let you do home health that’s just really interesting especially since the nurse and you know knows how to do blood pressure and all that stuff and if something really bad happened obviously they would call for help so I just don’t get it but instead you have to like drive all the way there It’s a whole day and everything like that I just I don’t understand

My feelings exactly.Thank you for saying that! Unfortunately, it is a law in KY regarding this medication not being administered outside of a hospital setting. So they make nursing home patients go to the hospital for this medication too (in these times). It is Ridiculous! As you say, I could 100% be monitored at home. It would be safer for me. Next time I see my dr I'm going to ask him how likely it is that we could fight the law because he has other patients who run into this issue too.

Do you ever take his harness off like during one of those laying on the bed situation so he’s a little more comfortable? I know it’s probably a catch 22 so he’s out in public and he’s got to be in work mode and I know that they know that they’re working when they were the year but I just figured that harness doesn’t look very comfortable to lay down in but he’s the best boy so I’m sure he doesn’t mind I was just curious
@IncredibleAnyway

I haven't taken his harness off in that type of situation. The harness is lined with sherpa and it is made to fit on him like a saddle, so I'd say it is pretty comfortable even when laying down. He has no problem sleeping in it where ever we are. The handles can get in the way sometimes, but he usually readjusts so that they aren't. Because he was acclimated to wearing a harness so young, he acts as though it is part of him.

Your long hair is really beautiful! My friend Genny's youngest daughter has super long hair. The last time I had surgery which was last year they use this thing to locate were they would put the IV I'm not sure what it's called but you can see them very clearly with it.

Oh thank you! My hair has always grown really fast. I *really* want to get it cut. It is too heavy for my head. But every time I schedule a hair stylist appointment, I end up having to cancel it bc I get a vertigo attack. So....my hair is really long! I need to see if I can get someone to come to my house or I'll be sitting on it soon. :)

@@IncredibleAnyway I can't remember how long it's been but for a long time now I've been cutting my own hair at home since it's just one length all over.

The infusions themselves don't put me to sleep. But sometimes I do sleep because I'm just so tired or not feeling well.

hey i do have a guestion to ask you about did you also know that the hospital floor can also be very dirty inside the building and you also taking your dog in their without putting his Ruffwear socks Liners and his Ruffwear Boots but i just making sure the hospital floor is not dirty inside for bene and better way lncredible anyway i hope so that you feel better soon sweetheart and also have a good weekend to sweetheart and you have any more questions to ask me about please let me know soon ok ,

I couldn't find his boots that morning, so he went without them that day. It isn't necessary for a service dog to wear boots. My service dog organization does not have their dogs wear boots. It is a preference as a handler. I prefer that Bene wear boots for protection from the hot pavement in the summer and the de-icer/salt in the winter and any other obstacles he may run into in public. It wasn't ideal that he was exposed to the dirty floor and germs in the hospital, but he was fine.
