This was so helpful for me, my island is split into different aesthetics (for example some of my villagers own the cottagecore area while another two own the angelcore area) and I was struggling with the shopping district which is more like a Japanese city, thanks for inspiring me!

If you're interested, there is this application called 3D Island Planner where you can create an entire 3D model of your island to see how things could be arranged and how they would look before you actually start building and terraforming. It's still pretty early in development but it might come in useful for planning the new layout of Guanabana 🌴💚

i recently restarted my island as well, but i just flattened my entire island and worked from there (cause i have almost all of my dreamies) i love what my new island looks like and it’s no where close to being done :) it’s what made me want to play a lot more

Hi! I love your videos and just wanted to suggest maybe utilizing Happy Island Designer to also plan out your island in a more detailed manner. It's very similar to the software you used in this video, but it is actually by pixels, and each pixel is one square on our island. All the houses/buildings have the correct dimensions in the planner too, so it really helps to figure out exactly where everything goes! I love your videos btw, you were the one who motivated me to even get Animal Crossing, and now it's my favorite game :))

Hihii I’m so late LMAOO Anyways when I first started my island, I got inspiration from city-like but neighbourly islands (similar to the islands you were inspired by). And I started with the stone path and creating my island. As time went on, I was thinking about if I should continue to make my island city-like or not. The reason why I was doubting my decisions was because when I think of an island, I don’t think about cities. I think about natural scenery and tropical scenery. So then I was feeling stuck. I didn’t know what to do. Until I got inspiration from a few people that toured you around during stream. They both had amazing natural islands. I found the theme I wanted: cottage core/fairy core. I’m halfway through making my island the way I wanted, until I saw a lot of people do cottage core. I realized that there were more people with this idea than I originally thought. When I looked for inspiration on cottage core islands, for some reason, all the islands with that theme looked super similar. I thought that if I went with cottage core, my island may look super similar to someone else’s. And I didn’t want that. Now I’m stuck again. I feel like there is nothing for me to add. I feel as if there is nothing that can make my cottage core island stand out from everyone else’s. I don’t want to give up on cottage core, but I just feel super unmotivated. I know it’s not too late to switch up my island theme as there is no end to animal crossing, but I put so much time on the cottage core parts of my island, and I don’t want to throw it all away. Anyways, that’s my story. I’m glad that you finally found what you needed to motivate yourself to play animal crossing more often nico.
