Virtual Farmer, Farmer Cop did a "COWS TEST" video on his channel and apparently hay is as good as TMR in the vanilla FS22 gameplay. The only problem is that currently you have a shortage of hay. I'm not sure if the map maker made any changes to animal feed ratios or if you installed any mods that change animal breeding, but it doesn't look like it. You should look at the results Farmer Cop posted, and see if you want to make any changes to what you feed the cows going forward.

Not sure if you did the cost analysis on the silage, but given the nominal amount you are using for the cattle and that generally it costs more to buy than what you make selling it, I would use your own silage vs buying in.
