Exactly the view he’s talking about is a bunch of dry docks that primarily service oil rigs, plus there’s one off to the right sitting there as a museum exhibit

Yeah, so the short pan of the "view" is not impressive at all. Take a moment and do a google maps view there is nothing to see. I expected nature preserve or some such. Not a working warehouses, what appears to be oil stores, a cruise line dock and a produce warehouse. This dude is crying for nothing, likely foot traffic from the Texas will increase his business.

I don’t think this guy understands exactly what would be in his backyard… It is the USS Texas one of the most famous ships in all of world history. Having the ship right behind his restaurant would actually increase business because of foot traffic and people wanting to see the ship but not actually pay to go on board. He has no idea what he’s talking about and doesn’t understand the heart The people of Texas have for the ship.

When the USS Lexington moved into Corpus Cristi it blocked a few restaurants and stores view but guess what? Those museum goers had money to spend and enjoyed seeing that ship before or after their visit. So shut up and enjoy the business to come

This clown doesn't realize This ship nearly grounded itself to support the troops on Omaha beach as the lsts with tanks sank on the way. Texas was joined by its old friend Arkansas during D Day, the capture of Cherbourg and operation Dragoon Texas is the last dreadnought as Arkansas lays belly up at bikini atoll surviving test baker but sinking from test able.

Reason it left San Jacinto is because of the plants being built around the monument area. Less attractive. No one wants to see plants. Plus it’s Time at San Jacinto has ended. It’s better to have it docked in Galveston where a lot of Tourists can see it. Seawolf park is way out of the league. Seawolf park already has a ship and a sub, bad enough that they charge to park and charge to get in the ship.
