Friends ...As per the latest edition of Ganong ....U must remember this values 1) RMP of nerve fibre is about -70mV THREE STANDARD NERNST POTENTIALS: 2)Nernst potential for Na+ = +55mV, 3)Nernst potential for Cl- = -65mV, 4)Nernst potential for K+ = -90mV I have confirmed it with my professors while all other concepts and datas are correct ..And U can remember this .. .The data given in the video is from Guyton latest second South Asian Edition is somewhat incorrect ...Sorry from my side 🙏🙏

then contribution through Na and K Diffusion will be -35mV. After adding contribution of Na-K pump (i.e. -4mV) it will be -39mV. Then how RMP=-90mV is possible?

C) gibs donan effect A) rmp 3 factors i) na permeability ii) k permeability iii) na-k pump B) goldman eq. 3 factors i) permeability of ion ii) conc. Of ion iii) polarity C) gibbs donan effect The effect on the permeability of diffusible ions because of the non diffusible ions is what we call gibbs donan effect.
