The glow really doesn't make sense either (although I guess that's more of a personal preference). Wouldn't you prefer a brand new redesign of the Fish Island Brook, with like a see-through glow ghost Brook Chase or something?

I think they should just make a new mold. If they were smart they would make a soul king deluxe pop with a glow chase. I also don’t think they should restock vaulted con exclusives that kind of takes the away from the value of it. If it was just a common or a retailers exclusive then maybe a restock would be ok but not con exclusives. Luckily i found my shared sticker Brook for $80 on the aftermarket lol

QOTD: I feel bad about it. As a collector I want my collection to be rare as much as possible. I think the stickered con should be limited edition as stated on the sticker. I totally agree with remake instead of restock. On the other side restock is good for new collector because they dont need to pay hundreds or thousands of dollar just to get what they want.

So this is the problem. Patience. People these days are severely lacking in patience. I was with you all the way until you said "...on the other side..." Collecting is about benefiting from being in it for the long haul. It's about the satisfaction of grabbing something you have a good feeling about on release, only to see it blow up 1 or 2 years down the track, or being able to use your passion for a character or story in order to make a smart investment over the random person trying to drop in and make a quick buck. If the new collector doesn't have access to everything they want, it's simply tough luck. That's collecting. Without the positives and the negatives, there's no nuance to any of it, and the hobby falls apart. This is the fundamental point that I think so many people are missing. You can't keep everyone happy; but if it's between the loyal, commited, longtime veteran collector, and the latest person to jump on the bandwagon, it's pretty clear to me (and should be to everyone else) who should be getting the support.

Being newly introduced into collecting funko pops and missing out on previously released exclusives, i would like the opportunity to purchase pops at a reasonable price. I get the value in collecting, but let’s not forget the scalpers/bots that make collecting pops frustrating. If you want someone to truly blame, it’s those people that are greedy and drive up the prices.

However, the same can be said about a multi million dollar corporation, who's churning out product, that was once deemed collectable, that is now flooded in the market place. That' is not longer a "collectable" there are plenty of toy companies if you like toys. The definition of collectable is the actual value it holds, which some toys do become collectable but that's due to its scarcity...

I am a OP pop fanatic & I dont have the Brook 2018 in my collection & would be thrilled to get one for mine. BUT, my personal opinion is con sticker pops should not be restocked. Specially this one. If funko does this the whole point of having collectibles will make no sense & they will become just bubble heads that everyone can easily find. Having/finding a rare item is the most interesting part of a collectibles & if that element is lost, then eventually everyone will loose the interest in collecting those. Which can collaps this platform. I think everyone should try to see the bigger picture & understand this if they wanna keep collecting funkos in future.

As a one piece collector it would be sick to get a brook restock but if I'm gonna be honest it takes away the whole purpose of Funko exclusives and brook being one of my fav characters I would like it to be restocked but honestly it would suck if they did because like skittle has said before it's meant to be exclusive to that con people spend a ton of money on grail and just for it to get re released for half the price just shows funko doesnt care about there collecters they are just trying to get a quick buck. I believe The first release of shared nycc2018 brook specifically won’t go down in value because most collectors (myself included) like funko pops that aged in time and not recently restocked ones But yeah the new ones will be much easier to get if the restock happens of course.

Con exclusives should not restock. Especially very old ones that have been vaulted. It'd be so much better to just make an updated Brook in this outfit where he's playing the guitar and wearing the sunglasses over his eyes or something.

I understand that it’s somewhat infuriating when any type of collectable that gets vaulted comes back into circulation. But as a collector on a budget; I can also see the chance of being able to actually afford it and keep my collection going. Especially with the price tag that it’s currently running for. A good option might be to reproduce it without the Con sticker 🤷🏻‍♂️ That way the 2018 can still hold its value.

i am torn 50/50 on this and ill never be able to pick a side, i flippin HATE when a Pop is 600 bucks on ebay! i will never own ANY of the Miraculous Ladybug Pops cuz of this. however, if every Pop is reprinted forever, it does make them worthless. my only solutions are 1. collect what you like, buy it cuz you like it, 2. a remake is usually better than a reprint, even if the remake is simple like just adding a weapon for the character to hold or something. but yeah im in the middle on this, i want to be able to buy what i want for retail price, but i would like my collection to be worth at least a few bucks or hold a bit of rarity. complicated problem that prolly will never go away tbh.

I don’t think we are going to see another brook with the exact 2018 con sticker. Nonetheless I’ve noticed that funko has its eyes on the most rare and valued pop recently and I wondered why? One possible explanation could be to get rid of the scalper’s trend which in my opinion can refrain customers to keep on bc it just gets frustrated (like me in the queue of Funko Europe for 2 min paying my order and the next 2 min after with a full order cancelled bc the OP funkon was already sold out).

It absolutely needs to be restocked. It won't matter in the long run because it'll have a different production date. That is the only mold of the original outfit of brook. A remake would be perfectly fine.

Here is the thing. If you are late to the Funko game, then you missed out. If you want it, trade for it. I saw Brook on the shelf of hot topics and did not buy them. Now that I am a One Piece fan. I would love to have it but I missed out when I had the chance. In closing, I believe if Funko gave out the prototype, then it should be done and retired. They do this for sports cards when they give out the printing plates in pack.

I collect things because I like them, not because of their future money value. Also I decide what collection I want to get into based on how expansive it is. I've said this so many times, but restocking - _especially_ old Con exclusives (and I don't believe any release represents this quite like _that_ Brook) - will be the end of Funko if they pursue it in that way. People want a Soul King Brook in their collection, I get it. That being the case though, they simply need to release a new design for RRP. The common response online seems to be 'I see the benefits of both,' so I'll use this opportunity to invite anyone who feels that way to definitively explain how this works for the hobby. Now to be clear, I'm a huge One Piece (and Brook) fan. I have a sizeable OP collection. But I DO NOT own this Con Exclusive, and yet I still don't want it to be restocked, which should tell you something about the ramifications of this. These are collectibles. There needs to be delayed gratification. There need to be some figures that are simply out of your reach. That's what collecting is all about.

Brook shouldn’t restock it was exclusive to the comic con and that year if they keep doing restock on comic con exclusives what the point of even getting them during that con timeframe as a collector myself funko needs to stop unvaulting old pops that are vaulted and rereleasing them
