Too many weird people out here. I would be afraid that someone did something harmful to the snacks, like putting thin needles through the kitkats and resealing the package. I remember they were putting needles in Halloween candy at one time and parents had to really check the candy.

And people who work outside love you for this. As a woman who worked many years outdoors for the electric company in NYC, I can’t tell you how much i appreciated the customers who would give me ice water on hot days or hand warmers on freezing days. Or tips for the holidays. I remember an old Asian customer that didn’t speak English but let me use her bathroom in her garage every month. I couldn’t thank her enough. God sent.

I leave frozen drinks for my garage pick up!! I give drinks to any drivers or outdoor workers I see. My husband worked in the field for many years so I get it and in TX 100°+ it's a must. However I'm not sure I could leave that outside without someone trying to be cute... you know.. It's sad but true and with summer coming up all the kids out hmm. But I ❤ love that set up!

As a FedEx delivery driver you have no idea how much this means to us. It can get very overwhelming and frustrating working in 100 degree weather and working in a hot box while delivering 100+lbs packages, so when customers do something like this it honestly keeps you going through the day. It doesn’t even have to be anything fancy either, even if it’s just putting out water bottles. So to anyone who puts in any thought like this with their delivery drivers, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. We see it, and we deeply appreciate any small or grand gesture ❤❤

Can you possibly eat a candy bar in the heat while exerting yourself that much ?? I’d want to eat the chocolate but then hurl if I was able to/ I get overheated at my indoor job, and just can’t eat until I’ve cooled down 15-20 min, but If I have to go back to work after, I get sick 🤢

It's possible possible now. I don't provide this many options, usually a bottle of water and/or Gatorade and a nutrition bar. They usually love it and are thankful. We don't drink juices or anything, so we give them what we already have. We did go out of our way to buy bottled water bc we don't drink them either bc we use filtered water, but I do appreciate our drivers, especially in the hot weather.

My husband is a garbage truck driver and I work in the office. The drivers are so grateful to the few people who leave them a drink or a snack on their can, or a tip during the holidays. My Great Grandpa was a mailman with 6 kids and a wife disabled with polio, their family was able to survive in part from the wonderful gifts from the homes on his route. A carton of eggs here, a loaf of bread there, etc.

i’m a jimmy john’s driver, and i’ve only had something like this happen once or twice (once was halloween where a lady gave me a little baggie of candy and stuff, the other was during covid. they had a little wicker basket on the front porch with snacks and little water bottles) both times have made me so happy and full of love for people that care about their fellow people 🥰ty for also being a good example for your daughter
