Maybe you could stencil a design on those shutters to jazz those shutters up a bit. Vine design, 🌿, olive design, oranges/fruit or flowers. Dress them up a bit maybe. Would look great on shutters and the door too. I love what you did with the door step design! Laura you are artistic so you would do that great!

Love you guys. one suggestion from an old guy.... Buy/make two sawhorses. I watch you guys working on a number of projects where you could save wear and tear on your backs and knees. Maybe paint them a lighter color. Do they open in or out? My friend in Tuscany painted her window shutters a pale pale blue. They are beautiful. Their roof is that terra cotta color. Your patio looks amazing. Very cool. Glad the rats are gone from your bath room. lol. The barn is looking pretty homely now. You can see what it is going to be. Nick is a fabulous friend to have. I like the idea of the sun-star patio and it turned out beautifully too! Also, waiting for the roof to be done will determine which way to go for the shutters. In a corner of ur barn of build out ur window take down the blocks use that doorway to build a block bathroom with a roof!! U will have a bathroom in ur little barn it would be simple to go out that doorway in back reuse the blocks to build a small bathroom and put ur kitchen on that back wall and running ur water to kitchen and bathroom would be easy to run hot and cold to both and keep using a toliet like u have been doing and yall can lay a small concrete floor in it and tile if u want to..But u have a great place out the back of ur barn 😊😊

I’m all about reusing, reclaiming and recycling items. You can always replace and invest once you’ve lived with it. Entryway looks lovely. You 2 are doing a great job. Love the curved front patio. Suggest you put a small shed roof over the front door and coving the patio so water won’t come in the front door and you are protected as you come and go.

Hi, kids! 👋🏼😊 Your little patio looks terrific. The night tour of your shower/WC cabin was great at showing off its clean and well lit comforts. Bet your shutter doors are looking nice. Yep, no worries how they turn out this time, as you say they'll be finished more after the roof is changed, etc. I'm excited that you can have insulated roofing sooner than later! I'm already beginning to imagine a tiny loft, a tidy reading corner near the window?, a Velux window to let in light and air, a tiny wood burner to keep you cozy, a pull-down screen to project movies onto, a comfy sofabed and/or recliner... or not 😄. I was going to imagine a tiny kitchen, but then i remembered you have a lovely covered outdoor kitchen 😎. I adore all the infrastructures you built onto your property from the wee pump in the water tank to the gravelled parking areas and mended tracks to your shower cabin to your outdoor kitchen to your bell tent to your stone house. Each thing you built already adds up to quite the self-hewn tiny homestead you imagined for yourselves 💖. And you've acquired the best tutors with saints Nick & Andrea. So glad you ddnt give up on your dream of your life there. You're sure to be rewarded time and again 🌟🤲🏼. 💖

Need WD-40 or some anti rust spray for the hinge pins. Makes life easier. Pretty sun burst pattern on the stone entry. Is the brown can a "paint" ? It is almost like a colored transparent gloss. Or the pigment is stuck in the bottom of the can. I know your hot shower is a luxury. Enjoy. Have a great week.
