These models are made to look this way on purpose. It is aged as if its a real car. Rust on plastic. It takes more time to male them look broken down amd aged than rebuilt them

A beautiful restoration, you have turned it into a beautiful Cadillac. You have chosen a beautiful black coating. This black is beautiful, but I like the original color red better. The bumpers and grill are fantastic, it looks like real chrome.

Uhm he's good but the difference is that while we can talk of restore for the Tonka toys, here we have models that can't rust at all, since a Die-Cast model use a special alloy against it. Unless you use chemicals products to ruin it and also dirt them in a way to simulate aging, it's literally impossible to find this type of models in similar conditions. Nothing against him, he's good compared to other channels that show a very lazy and horrible work. At least he know what he's doing, even though some "restore" were questionable like for the Bel Air imho, but all in all they were good enough to "forget" he's lying about the restoration. :)

@@restorediy BTW, I just noticed that the undercarriage of this model is more accurate than supposedly original condition cars on YT: the model has two mufflers ahead of two resonators. Those on YT have replaced the resonators with straight pipes. (I said more accurate because I thought the position of the resonators and mufflers were reversed...resonators first, mufflers nearest the tail pipe. But, it’s been over 50 years since I looked underneath ours. The model is probably correct and I’m wrong.)

My guess is that it's a '59 judging from the size of the fins and the front grill as most would know those details from another '59 Cadillac that being the Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters
