Restoration an abandoned 15 year old Compaq Laptop | Recycle Laptop Compaq destroyed

I am a software engineer, I have extensive experience in designing new and restoring old computers. I watched this video and I can say that this is a fake ... I can assume that the video was shot in the reverse order, at the beginning the working computer was removed as the end of the video, then it was disassembled and smeared with mud, then it was thrown into a landfill and somehow found. (Hello from Siberia)
@ramramram4024 жыл бұрын
No es necesario saber algo de computación para darse cuenta que esto es falso. Saludos
How to make amazing looking restoration video: Step 1: Take old laptop. Make it slightly dirty and cracked. Step 2: Take it apart, and wrap some of the parts in plastic film to make them look new. Step 3: Film yourself putting the laptop back together and turning it on to see that it works. Step 5: Take the laptop apart again and break some parts and burn holes in the casing. Step 6: Smear the parts in mud and put the laptop half-way back together. Step 7: Put it outside somewhere and film yourself 'finding' it. Step 8: Show the horrible state of it on camera, and take it apart and wash the parts with a scrub and soap. Step 9: Film yourself 'repairing' parts. Step 10: Show the footage you took in step 3, finishing your video with the footage of the laptop booting up before you broke it to make it seem like it's been restored.

That's literally what all of these restoration videos are. You cannot repair a laptop that looks like the ones he "found". Also I love how these video titles are just like a failed attempt to use Google translate.

You can not avoid doing this for easy money that KZbin gives you by followers and each video that goes up, not use correct multimeter, which is measuring capacitors? resistances? bios? I repair electronics damaged by humidity or water or others and I can assure you that it is impossible that it is in the state that the electronic equipment finds them without corrosion or oxidation or anything broken or broken or short-circuited
@GGigabiteM4 жыл бұрын
Logic boards don't really corrode unless they're exposed to acids/bases or are powered while submerged in liquid. None of the metals on logic boards are particularly susceptible to major corrosion just sitting in water/mud, I've repaired many electronic devices myself from dumpsters, storm canals and the local junk yard which were either rained on for long periods of time or submerged in liquid. This video is obviously staged, but you can get electronics devices working again by carefully cleaning the boards and drying them.

This repair reminds me of KZbin (Restoration And Restore), which is a fake, always does the same, becomes the super repairman, and it is not like this, almost always buys new or used cases in better condition than the broken ones and never uses the one that I supposedly repair, The joke is that he does not use those that he repairs, but rather new or used ones, believing that people are stupid that they would not notice the change that makes them what I would call amateur or novice repair since they only buy the easiest parts of change and is attributed the title of restorer or repairer and always finds their products with mud that repairs without 0 corrosion the plates and integrated them is like a new thing that it is impossible for the mud to enter them and not corrode them and they are like new plates internally with mud but without corrosion that never happens in real life water and humidity and the mud in the integrated generate oxidation and corrosion

@Gary Johnston 15 year old laptops are in the XP/Vista era. I have this same model of laptop, it's not quite 15 years old though, more like 11-12. It's still quite capable as a portable office computer and can easily be upgraded to run Windows 10. The CPU and RAM are upgradeable, as seen around 9:12.
@GGigabiteM4 жыл бұрын
@Gary Johnston Reusing old gear as long as possible puts less waste into the already horrifying Ewaste streams polluting the planet. And it's cheaper to upgrade the laptop than buy a newer computer.

I find these videos to be priceless. I believe if you had a sonic cleaner and a couple of weeks you could make a valiant attempt at restoring something like this. However, this is like trying to use a butcher knife when you really need a scalpel. BTW, I don’t think this is real for a second.

Hey Mr. Fake, that's a CQ60 serie from Compaq (I had 3, still have 2 ok and 1 cpu burnt), that was sold in 2007-2008 so... Are we in 2022, or is that another fake of you? It's 12yo laptop.... The other things in the video... Well, i never laught so much! No wait, i did with your other video, the PC desktop (HD in specific) restoration and your cracking skills (how to get into an account without knowing password, just """trying""" some)... Oh, and the multimeter..... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'mon kiddo, next time i bet you will find a 150k $ Rolllllllex in a puddle, or why not, an abandoned, burnt, flatted Lamborghini Miura (from '60s) and you will restore them. Restore your mind, IF you have one.

watch the ending of the video first, then imagine that he takes it apart and completely trashes it and smears it with mud and spreads the parts around outside.
