G’day my friend! What a lovely looking loco! And it’s the same gauge as our broad gauge too which is great! And of course, our broad gauge was inspired by the Irish engineer who first recommended that we build our railways to broad gauge (5’ 3”) before the Irish engineer was replaced by a Scottish one and NSW decided to readopt the standard gauge but for SA it was too late, locos and rolling stock had been bought and lines were already under construction. But just imagine if broad gauge prevailed across the whole national network eh? Imagine the size of the locomotives from each state and generous loading gauge that came with that. Oh the possibilities are endless haha 😍😉. Take care. Regards, Caleb P.s I’ll send an email soon. Cheers

@@CalebsRailFilms Hi Caleb. Thanks very much for that mate 👍 They have done a fantastic job restoring Slieve Gullion, and it won’t be long before the loco will make its return to the mainline. The RPSI currently has another 4-4-0 in service on the mainline, but I believe it is due to come out of traffic this year for a boiler lift at the society’s workshop at Whitehead. I hope you are keeping well, I enjoy your regular videos and community posts, keep up the good work. Look forward to catching up soon. Best regards Rowan.
