After watching your video, I can clearly see that I need a good grinder. )) In terms of equipment, it is the Nikon Z6. Lens 24-120 mostly. Sometimes 16-36mm, 50mm and 85mm. I also sometimes shoot on a Samsung S10. As for the sound, it's the Zoom Handy Recorder H1n

Ransomes in the Uk made farm machinery. Might this blade be reused, having been cut from something much larger?

information is scarce. I thought that they started with simple products like this and eventually started making tractors. But everything can be and in the absence of accurate information it is impossible to say for sure

Old plough share I think
@Dr.Pepperovsky3 ай бұрын
@@oj3888 It is quite possible. But if you watched the video carefully, when I cleaned the cleaver, you can see the influx of metal between the handle and the blade of the knife. It seems as if there was a defect during stamping. If it was a fragment of a plow, it is not clear where such an influx could have come from.

It can’t be that old when you’re using a plow edge
@Dr.Pepperovsky4 ай бұрын
I have no reliable information about the age of the kitchen cleaver. I judge that it is about 100 years old based on the history of the company whose brand is stamped on the latter and on the history of the household where I actually found the cleaver. If you have any reliable information, I would be happy to get acquainted with it.

My guess is that you didn't have a long enough piece of wood for the handle?
@Dr.Pepperovsky3 ай бұрын
No, the annual is not in the length of the workpiece. I just have a handle made of two halves. The place where the handle turns into the blade is weak because there is a very small area of gluing. This is usually solved with a metal ring or cap in this place. But since the shape of the handle is complex, I solved it this way.

Probably the fact is that I am not a professional and do not know a lot. My education is completely different. What is in the video is my hobby. Of course, I try to be careful and fully assume that from a professional point of view my work can look wild if we are talking about the same thing.

That is not restauration, it's remodelling. Nice result but could have been much better if you kept the original shape of the handle.

I agree with you, but I have strong doubts that the pen was original. I carefully examined it and came to the conclusion that it was homemade. We will probably never know what the original was like because there is no information anywhere.
