Oh, I forgot to say that I really liked the video and the simple yet detailed and very informative way you adopted it.

Excellent video. I have Sony CDP-70 (1985) with dirty volume knob and skipping issues. Plan to spray the sound knob, grease the laser slide rails and clean the lens. Very helpful seeing your video. Thank you.

Hello, very good video! I have a CDP-S42 that was abandoned in the basement without working for years, but inspired by your video I started working on it. It's turning on and reading some CDs, but the ejection mechanism is quite stiff. It may be necessary to change the belt, lubricate the mechanism and clean the laser bean, in addition to removing any accumulated dust. Let's get to work... thank you!!!

Adem, very good morning. Firstly, I want to thank you for doing the work of filming, editing and sharing the video of your work/hobi. That alone is a lot of consideration. I need an honest opinion and I would really appreciate it if you could give me some of your time to write to me, please: I always wanted to have a Sony cdp s-37 but I was never able to buy it. However, today I found a person in my city, São Paulo, Brazil, on a used product sales website called OLX, who is selling not only one of these but also a Sony cdp p-79. According to him, both work perfectly despite being visibly marked on their housing. It seems to me that the only difference between them is that the second one has a sensor for remote control and the first one has a "repeat" button in place of the sensor. That's right? The other thing I would like to know please is: he told me I can go to his house and test them both. But, taking into account that I don't have the slightest knowledge of restoring electronic products, and even if I can open them to see if they are very dirty and/or visibly damaged inside, would there be anything you could advise me to take into consideration when purchasing? I would like to be able to buy both, because their price didn't seem expensive at all, as they are 2 rare and working pieces, US$ 54.54 each, so I can have spare parts if I need them, because I can imagine what it must be like It's easy for them to have a problem. But, unfortunately, I will only be able to choose one of them, probably the p-79 with a view to obtaining a remote control for it in the future. Obviously this is not a priority or necessity for me, just a whim. Please, could you advise me anything about them? Thank you, thank you, thank you...

First of all, thank you very much for your interest. You can get both. But if you have to buy one, I recommend you buy the remote control one. Electronics is a bit of a matter of luck. I would believe it if you were mistaken when purchasing. Best regards.

Hey! I have the CDP-S42 and sometimes when I play CD audio with bass boost (Using a Subwoofer in the same table) the songs jumps randomly. It's normal or I need a proper cleaning to avoid this? Greetings from Chile
@janath9118 Жыл бұрын
Chalo Baquetas I think the song jump happens maybe because you are using the bass boost with a subwoofer which increase the shaking and rattling of the unit due to the increase of low frequencies. Do that happen when you play it without the bass boost? Isolate the speakers and subwoofer, away from the unit. I think it will be the remedy. Try doing it. This is only my idea and I am not a professional. I am from South Asia.

Abi selamlar.

Hello there. Thank you for your interest. Your problem seems really big. First open the mechanism following my video and remove the broken parts. Install a new tire. If the broken ones are in the mechanical and plastic area, you will have to buy a new one and find it. I hope I could help. Greetings.
