David you've got skills. I also would like to learn more about the plating process. It was also entertaining aside from the technical excellence. Your son is talented. BTW what did you do to your shoulder?

I really appreciate your expertise and knowledge with the pan project and the excellent camera work but we could learn so much more if you would add some vocal explanations to the in depth work that you do. I have a linkert I'd like to rebuild and it would really help coming from someone with the knowledge you have. Thank you

Hey man,awesome video... love watching your channel, especially this panhead rest.... Can i ask a question...my back spoke wheel on my 04 rk needs trued according to my mechanic. The bike is swimming all over the road and is not ridable over 50 mph. Hes does not true wheels and recommended i get mag wheels. I want to do that but my ass is broke with a 900$ mortgage. My ? Is if i out the bike on my bike jack could i tighten the spokes that needed to be just buy spinning the wheel and squeezing them, also tapping them to hear the tightness or lack there of....i dont have a truing stand nor the ability to remove and replace the tire. Any advice will be well received and very much appreciated man....thanks
@DeathProofProductions Жыл бұрын
Yes, I've done it on the bike many times. You need to rig up something ridged that you can measure tolorence with eather mounted to the bike or the ground. Then you just work your way around till you get it in spec. There's really nothing to it.
@michaelmitchell5909 Жыл бұрын
@DeathProofProductions awesome man, thanks for responding back, means alot. I'm gonna giv it a go myself for sure. Then one day get a pair of used mag rims for it. Take care man.
@michaelmitchell5909 Жыл бұрын
@DeathProofProductions hey man, wanted to update you on my wheel truing on the bike. I found that every spoke was loose, some were fused to the nipples, one was broke. I managed to get em all tight and the bikes riding stable again. As for the one broken spoke. Will the rim be OK with 1 less spoke?. I cut it off at the nipple cause my mechanic is to busy to help me out right now. I don't have means to take the tire off amd replace the spoke myself. Im.not gonna go racing around with the bike, just to use it to go to work at the mill. I do plan ok getting mag wheels in the future. Thanks for your advice and time man.
@DeathProofProductions Жыл бұрын
1 spoke won't hurt. Just curious what kind of mill do you work in.

Now I'm in another titanium mill working g on a Trumph laser machine cutting out titanium shims for hydrogen batteries...id rather work on harleys any day man.

Hey man I need help from you!! I just got my bike out together a 2008 Electra glide , it’s a 96” to 107” cylinders bored amd small cam, little bit head work, just valves and cleaned up, 2 into 1 exhaust; now all together and only 9 miles on new engine oil coming out breather , lots of it, it’s not too full, I’m thinking one of my o- rings wrong? Or missing I suspect the oil pump o ring or the umbrella ones on top of the rocker box? What you think? Need your help I live in Chattanooga!!

@@DeathProofProductions I think the o ring i used may have been the wrong one here? I’m getting a gasket kit redoing all of it? Not sure if all the o rings are correct ? I don’t have previous stock rebuild to go by? I’m gonna work with a local bike shop and try and line up correct o rings ahead of time amd place them back in the bike second time!! Hopefully get them all correct from cam chest all the way thru the top?!?!?!
