Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. As usual, I found this survival knife at a flea market. When I pick it up this knife I realize the steel here is super, and I bought it of course. Well, restoration time has come!

As usual, I used rust remover liquid, then washed, dried and oiled it. To clear the knife surface, I used a wire iron brush. To correct the shape of the knife and make and bevel, I used a sanding machine. After, I used sandpapers to clean the knife bevels and saw on the back side of the knife. To avoid rust in the future, I used a 10% nitric acid solution. For the knife handle, I chose brass, beech wood and brass rivets.
It took me a very long time to process the handle. The last step in the processing was to color the handle and impregnate it with wax.
Next, I started creating a knife sheath. I used thick natural leather. There was also an idea to make an additional pocket on the scabbard, but I made a mistake in the size initially. But it still turned out to be done. And of course, as usual, I made an interesting knife test for you.
I hope you will enjoy this restoration project. Thank you!
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
