Excellent job. I wouldn’t weld the gears-but replace with new. I mean if I needed to escape from a desert island you could weld it. Also he needs a brass hammer and punch set, torque wrench, impact rated socket set, seal driver set, parts washer, and he’s all set. Oh doesn’t anyone prime anymore?

Ya know, I think it's entirely appropriate to get a NEW ring and pinion gear if you're gonna go to this much effort to rebuild this axle.

The set of rim gears is very expensive, if you replace all of them, the cost will be very high
