It's sad to see peoples believe that this is real. No proper title, not even a single proof that it was actually abandoned. With real restorations, the guy making the video will tell the story of how he got the thing (like buying it from Ebay, got it from a yard sale, found it in the attic, blah blah. But he just didn't tell the story about it, which means that he destroyed a perfectly fine AC then put it on a good enough place to make it look like that the AC has been sitting out for years. Even that AC is not old. The rust is so deep that it looks like something from the 1980s for even 1950s. Don't think that if you live in Vietnam foreigners. I'm from Vietnam and i see a lot of these Nagakawa air conditioners. Some looks new, some looks rusty but not as bad as this. And see how the logo and the parts surround it didn't rust? Totally fake, you're brainwashing peoples for views. And it didn't come with the whole set too. We need to stop these.

You didn't replace the capacitor, that's like rebuilding a car engine and not replacing the oil filter.

That should be ok though. If the capacitor still holds it charge with the korrekt farad it’s ok to carry on using. You aren’t always capable of getting replacements as I have also found out in the past. I’ve used capacitors which were 20 years old and still in good working condition. They still work years after I rebuild machines and electrical systems. Cheers

El ventilador gira en sentido contrario, tiene que coger aire desde el condensador hacia adelante, al girar al revés desde el frontal al condensador, no conseguirá extraer eficientemente todo el calor en toda la superficie del condensador. 🤷‍♀

Es un lindo trabajo, aunque para ser una restauración tiene muchos detalles de pinturas, el error que cometió en la parte de los robinetes de líquido y succión los coloco por fuera del armazón y es evidente que no tiene conocimiento en refrigeración, ya que probar el compresor en marcha como lo hizo con ambos robinetes tapados es perjudicial para el moto compresor . Pero se nota que le pone esfuerzo a lo que hace ...

Ese es un detalle que observé también, aunque no es del todo restauración, si bien paso cepillo de acero a todo el gabinete lo único que usó fue la base, lo demás es de otro aire acondicionado, y es como decís, los laterales del robinete van afuera para que no ingresé agua al interior del gabinete y así proteger la pintura, y sus componentes

The front panel in beginning was the Galanz (I think), but once 'restored' it, it turned to the TCL. This is fake restoration, I can safely say it's a junk. This isn't a restoration, it's just a customizing AC unit.
